Landströms dried up

So I ordered some more of this great snus recently and upon opening the tin, it is unusually dry like coffee grinds and I can't even bake a pris which stays together using an icetool. The flavor is still kinda there but it is frustrating. Any thoughts why they don't even put a 'best by...' date on these as I'm guessing it's rather old?

Any tips on re-hydrating this lös without destroying the flavor?

What I'd do, and I think it worked, was dump it out into a cereal bowl, and then add a teaspoon of water, and then mix it in/up, add more water if needed, but be carefull to not add too much, and then put it back in the can.

Laz for pipe tobacco I take it and spread it out on a plate. Then I take a wet paper towel (not dripping but throughly wet) and lay it over the tobacco (don't pat the towel down- the tobacco might stick to it). Leave it for a few hours and check it. This method is more gradual than a straight application of water. My only worry would be the snus sticking to the towel. But even that should not be too bad.

A variation on Tom's method would be to use a squirt bottle that has a mist option (I got one at Walmart for around $1). I like the towel method because I had a tendency to over hydrate with mist and spoon

Get a tupperware or any container you can seal that will fit 2 snus cans. Take the lid off the Landstoms and put the can in there. Also put in another snus can without a lid that has water in it. Put the lid on the tupperware and leave it over night.

I just made myself the perfect hydrating tool for snus.

I use a window cleaner spray container that I have cleaned very well and distilled water.

It only takes two sprays over the snus to perfectly hydrate it.

I have also read people take the open can into the bathroom and lay it open on the sink or somewhere, and take a hot steamy shower. I never tried this myself.

That actually works really well for nasal snuff that has gone a bit dry. For real dry snuff it might take a couple of showers. Get out, dry off, slap on some High Karate, put the lid on the tin and shake. Walah!!

Thanks for the tips. Will try later once home. I'm not having good luck with lös these days it seems. Yesterday it was the juked by V2 labeling issue and today it's dry snus I can't even keep in my lip.

seriously though...a little distilled water will do the trick. Any water really if you'll use the can in a week or so.

I did the tin of distilled water in with the open landströms in a tupperware container trick in the fridge for a day and it didn't quite cut it so I dripped a few drops of the H20 in the landströms and placed in the freezer for two days. Thawed overnight in the fridge and have a pris in right now. It's staying together a bit better, flavor still good but can tell it's just too damn dried out yet to fully enjoy. Oh well. Maybe I'll try the bathroom trick next and if that don't work, the breast trick.

Try the spray bottle mist with distilled water, Works for me. About 2-3 light mist spays, shake then stick in the fridge overnight - 2 days
