Offroad - Does anybody like it?

I have tried all my offroad cans now and I have to say the only one I don't mind is liquorice. All the others are quite foul and make me feel a bit dodgy. Anybody else feel like this? It seems to me to be a really inferior product compared to the beautiful subtleties that I find in other snus brands. I have some Goteburgs rape in now and it is full of aroma and depth of flavour but the offroad just seems to overpower me with a pungent taste with a slight suggestion at the flavour they advertised and with no real depth to the taste. It is like the difference between drinking cheap perfume and smelling a flower in the garden!
Do others feel this way too?
I like the skruf taste very much and most of the unflavoured snus brands that I have tried - which to me have more difference in flavour than the offroad.
Which ones should I avoid if I can't stand the offroad in the future, are there others that are sickening?

Offroad Cran is a staple in my snus rotation. I have had several other offroad products, but the cran is in a league of it's own. If I had to describe it, i'd say it tastes like a natural redman-style leaf tobacco with a very natural bitter-sweet tobacco/cran taste. The strong portions have a significantly stronger bitter-sweetness to them compared to the loose. The loose has a more defined tobacco taste with the same nice cran flavor.

I think Offroad's pretty unique as far as snus goes(thank god). I don't care for it due in large part to the reasons you mentioned. I like flavored snus though, and LD Black, Metropol Pepparmint, and Catch Eucalyptus are big favorites of mine. The ones I mentioned have a more natural taste to me, and while you don't get much flavor of tobacco, it is a natural taste. They may use artificial flavors, but they seem to be of higher quality than what Offroad uses.

Its amazing that you can taste anything at all if you've been drinking cheap perfume.

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

The flavors in Offroad aren't so bad, but what keeps me away from the portions is the paper crepe they put the snus in.

I'm not put off by Offroad flavors. Offroad Coffee/Vanilla is always in my order.

I've only tried a few of the Offroads but they were horrid enough that I never really mustered up enough ambition to try any of the others. As you say, very overpowering and left me with something of an ill feeling. Drinking cheap perfume is a pretty good analogy - it made me dizzy just like someone doused in bargain bin fragrances does. Some seem to love it, though, but it's definitely not my cup of tea.

The only offroad I have tried is tha cranberry portion. I dont hate it, its just kind of blah imo, tastes mostly like lightly flavored cranberry paper.

                  My torrid affair with offroad....
                  • 1. Offroad changed from bacco so I order a roll of original loose. Some people said it smelt of urinal cakes, some said it was like snusing an alpine breeze and besides it was on sale. I didn't hate it like some people but I haven't ordered it again.
                  • 2. When the limited edition portions came out they seduced me with their shiny packaging and promises of exotic flavours. I order a roll again. At first it was nice, especially the vanilla but after a whole roll they just started tasting like chemically sugary teabags.
                  • 3. Just as I'd given up on offroad I got some longcut free from buysnus. I Enjoyed them for the cut but the "pure tobacco" flavor tasted more like cardboard and the texture is strange and spongy. That was the final straw for me and offroad. We had to part ways.

I've heard good things about licorice and cranberry....maybe one day I'll give them a go....if I can handle the disappointment....

I gave Offroad original loose an order after being surprised by the bargain Granit.

I opened the tin, smelled it, and threw it in the garbage. The smell was chemical-ly and on sight, looked like it didn't deserve to be in the same category as the rest.

I've tried only the cranberry elsewise and threw it away as well after maybe 4 or 5 portions.

I enjoy snus most in the ten or so minutes when it begins to run a bit, just before it's sprinting. Even in the first few moments of juicing from the cranberries, I noticed a thick soreness in my throat. I spit it out immediately.

i tried the portions and they sucked. the pouch felt like a wool sock in my mouth and you could taste the so so tobacco. the flavoring was too strong and almost synthetic.

                      two thumbs down. nice tin

OffRoad so far at the very bottom of my list

I have tried three different flavored OffRoad types of portioned snus. I did not like any of them, although I will not through them out (keep for emergency supply). The cranberry was not that bad of a flavor at first, actually I did not find any of the “flavors” repulsive enough to take out right away, but all that I have had seem to loose all flavor in less then ten minutes. Then I am stuck with a flavorless tea bag in my mouth , it doesn't even look like any of the other brands of snus I have tried when you open the pouch. Pale and yellow looking, more like hay then tobacco, could be I just got the remaining of some bad batches but I will not be ordering any more. I have noticed most if not all of you have a distain for Level, it is not my favorite, but it does rank higher than OffRoad in my opinion. I like Knox, which is great since it is so cheap, as far as flavored snus I am really leaning toward Goteborgs Rape #2 as a favorite, I also like the regular Goteborgs Rape, really not much bad to say about any brand I have tried except OffRoad.

The reason I do not care for Offroad is because it slaps you in the face with its flavor. If it delivered a strong flavor tastefully (no pun intended) such as Gotlands or the sort, I would have no problems. I admire their attempt to enter the market with strongly flavored snus, but I think they're going about it wrong. Their flavoring has the essence of chemicals. There aren't any other snus (What's the plural, snuses?) that mock the palate like that.

So far i have tried offroad original los and phantom los and that is where it ends. I will never order any more v2tobacco products. They were horrid. I took one pris of each and put it back in the freezer. I can not stand it. It almost has this plastic type taste/texture to it and it feels so artificial. I highly recommend against it. Im not much of a flavor person when it comes to los snus so I do not really even care to try any other v2tobacco products.

I ordered a roll of Phantom when it first came out because of the price. I used it approximately 4 times and then gave the rest of the roll to my friend when he was quitting cigarettes.

I've only ever tried one of the Offroad types, that being the Cranberry loose. I didn't like it. It tasted too strong and the cranberry taste was very synthetic. I love cranberries, but this stuff just didn't do it for me at all. Plus I never got a firm pris out of it. It would always wind up crumbling after 20 minutes or so. I've never had that problem with any other brands.
