I'm curious how this will develop as things get juicier.

5 minute update. I'm definitely feeling the nicotine coming on with this, almost in an abrupt full-on way like dip. Interesting.
Offroad longcut Apple is a dip not a los snus...

You're not supposed to use an icetool ...

    Try lower lipping it.

The nicotine kick is very high because it's a dip )

I personally hate this one in particular, very rough on the gums, a nasty taste after 5 - 10 minutes, not to mention you can start spinning like from a larger pinch.

Wrong!!! Offroad Long Cut Apple is a limited loose snus with a flavor of apple.

Description From SnusCentral: Offroad Long Cut Apple is a special Limited Edition loose snus. Only one batch was made and it won't ever be made again.

Long Cut Apple is an apple flavored snus...as if you needed me to tell you that!

If you like the taste of apples and are open to a snus flavored as such, you'll want to grab this snus while you still can. Especially at this amazing price!

Each can contains 40 grams of snus.

        It's not snus

        It's Offroad Loncut...

Snus can't be long cut ;-)

And by it's texture it's definitely dip ... correct me if I'm wrong.

It's not even listed as snus on http://www.v2tobacco.se/ .... It's listed on American Longcut ;-)

        http://www.v2tobacco.se/Offroad-snus.php

Can you upper lip it? I guess not.. because it's a dip.

Mate I have a can opened right on my desk ;-)

The problem is that you still don't understand the meaning of Long Cut.

Here's the definition for this 'slang' of wikipedia...

Long cut : Long cuts are easier to manage than fine cuts (a smaller granular sized dip - in regard to ease of grabbing the tobacco and ...

That has to do with dip not snus.. Mate

Long cut snus is the closest thing in snus to dip, but there is no snus that is dip

                :|

                It's definitely dip ..

And long cut is an American term used for dip.

Some swedish people should come and say that it's dip I suppose

Anyway the Offroad Apple is definitely too strong for me... smells like candy ... has a highly bitter taste and I was about to kill myself with a large pinch .. The only thing I like about it is the refreshing sensation on the gum and the slight pint of green apples..

Interesting debate, but I agree that this is snus. I am easily able to swallow the juice from this snus - if I tried that with dip my throat would be irritated and I might get sick. The real deciding factor would be whether this tobacco is cured or pasteurized, not the size of the cut IMHO.

I would just like to take this opportunity to point out that "snus" is just the Swedish word for "snuff". I really do not want to get involved in this argument at all, as I have reconciled my need to justify my tobacco use via foreign languages, I only wish to point out that you are literally arguing over nothing. It is all snus and it is all snuff. Some of it is pasteurized, some fermented, but it is all ground up tobacco that you shove in your mouth.

I'm reviving this thread as I am planning another day of heavy tobacco use after sleeping in. To start the day, a nice 2 click prilla of General Ekstra Sterk los and a hot cup of fresh-ground coffee. I am drinking a super smoky French Roast whole bean from Starbucks that you can pick up in bulk at Costco. I was initially irritated at my fiance for purchasing this brand as it was extremely smoky at first, but it has grown on me. I found that it goes great with the GES los as well as a nice english pipe tobacco blend, like Dunhill 965. Incidentally, a bowl of said mixture will be had in the garage after this pris loses its flavor.

I just finished smoking the 965. This is not the original Dunhill MM 965 either from Murray's or Orlick's. It is actually an imitation bulk blend available at my local tobacconist. Regardless, this has to be the best english blend I've had the pleasure of smoking. Always easy lighting, its a great full-bodied smoke with no tongue bite to speak of. The mixture is of latakia, orientals, and some cavendish for sweetness. Nicotine level is medium, on my scale, and the flavors are always creamy, smoky, nutty, slightly sweet with some bitterness in the background. I could easily smoke this all day if I ran out of snus. It is the mixture that keeps on giving because the aftertaste goes awesome with a fresh cup of coffee - a great way to cap off the smoke.

I'm finishing that cup of coffee now, with a nose full of Toque Whiskey & Honey taken from my Patrick Collins Triple-tech snuff box:
