Looking for more long cut snus...

when i first tried this swedish snus stuff, i was a little taken back by the difference in flavor and aroma from american dip (cope, grizzly, etc.). it takes a little getting used to when all you've had is the american stuff. anyway, i first tried the Nick and Johnny loose but it was just too fine and i couldnt get comfortable with it. so ive been sticking to the portion varities mostly. that is, until i discovered Offroad longcut (natural flavor). i love this stuff. it is cut just like american dip so it's easy to keep packed in your lip and i actually really like the mellow flavor too. but Offroad seems to be the only brand i can find that makes snus like this and they only make two flavors (natural and wintergreen, i think). i know offroad makes other flavors but i dont think they are longcut (correct me if i'm wrong). anyway, if anybody knows of any other brands that also make a "long cut" snus, i'd love to try them. thanks.

I think you are out of luck for now, as far as I know OffRoad is the only long cut snus I have seen. However, in the short time I have been researching and then using snus, I have noticed brands and flavors are changing frequently. So you may find new brands in the future that fit your needs.

yeah, i've noticed the same thing. but i guess that's how it goes with all tobacco products. always trying new things. i just hope Offroad keeps this long cut around for a while. i have heard of another brand (Kardus i believe) that puts out some fancy/expensive long cut every now and then. but noone seems to know when they're going to release it again. oh well, i guess i'll just have to stock up on Offroad... you know, just in case

I think Offroad should market their longcut snus in the United States. I think it would catch on a lot faster than any of the other brands because it can still be easily used in the lower lip like dip. Dippers could keep their standard practice and still get the lower health risks of snus.

Yeah, Offroad's the only one who really does that. I finally watched Storm's videos today and said his family grows some of the tobacco that gets sold to Swedish Match - we just have to get that lad a recipe for genuine Swedish snus and he could open the factory right in the US, cut any way you please, but genuine snus method. Find a way to recreate Kardus in mass production and you'd have a winner 8)

...maybe I need to undertake some corporate espionage in Sweden. :lol:
