C'mon lxskllr - break down and get a facebook page!

I'm really anti facebook. I don't have much general use for it, and their privacy standards are abysmal. While Google has the same general reason for existing, their privacy slipups strike me as more of an oversight, than the deliberate behavior, or outright incompetence of facebook.

I don't know if you guys have seen this, but we have a great opportunity to try a very rare snus. I haven't been seeing much talk about it, so I'm reposting in this thread.

Do you love loose snus, Ettan loose in particular, and want to share it with the world?

Maybe you love SnusOn in the same manner and wished there was a way to express that love to the entire community!

Well now, there is a way to express your love for both, The Great Ettan loose kardus pack giveaway contest!

We here at SnusOn have been given 2 packs of Ettan loose, the same kardus packs that are packaged by the little old lady in the Tobacco & Match Museum in Stockholm, along with some Icetool gear and want to give them to you, the members. We thought having 2 contests, the winner of each getting one of the Ettan Packs, would be the best way so, here's the skinny on what you need to do to win:

The first contest will be a salute to Ettan loose snus. You can submit your salute as a simple post, a blog entry, photo or video, anyway you like as long as it's about Ettan loose snus.

The second one will be a salute to SnusOn! You can submit in the same formats as the salute to Ettan and again, must be about your personal salute to our little corner of the internet, SnusOn.

Judges will consist of 2 representatives of the SnusOn owners, 2 members of the Team SnusOn moderator team and 2 SnusOn members! We will include a poll for you all to choose 2 members from the member ranks to act as your representatives.

All submissions must be made here in the "Ettan loose kardus pack giveway contest" thread no later than midnight December 8th 2010 and the winners will be announced Sunday, December 12th 2010. The winner of each salute will win one package of the historical Ettan loose in the 250 gram letter pack, an Icetool and an Icetool snus can! We're looking forward to seeing some interesting entries and wish everyone good luck!

Just my 2 cents... I would really like opportunity to try a very rare snus like the Ettan Kardus But that is just to much work, effort and time and I feel the edge would go to those who have a laptop a camcorder and the latest technology and or are already You Tube savvy ( IE: cnash )non of which i have... I have a desktop and a digital camera... Not enough to win IMO.. So sorry I'm out...

If you quit before you start, you're guaranteed to lose ;^)

None of this requires technology more than a basic internet connection. A well written tribute to Ettan and/or SnusOn will beat out a bunch of flashy fluff. There's several ways to approach this, and if I were judging, I'm not particularly swayed by pretty tricks. It's a little bit of work, but not that much in grand scheme of things. Even taking away the extreme scarcity of it, if it were regular Ettan, you'd be getting pay $15 per hour if it took you an hour to do. Add in the scarcity, and the hourly rate is much higher :^)

Last I heard the list of candidates - but no confirmation about it.
