General Mint

Do certain Snus make you salivate more? General mint regular portion makes me have to spit like its a dip. Is it more salt maybe?

Not really. Occasionally an individual portion may may me salivate more, but I've never noticed it for any particular brand or flavor.

According to the descriptions at getsnus, the regular mint has 50% water
whereas the mini mint has 25%.

I just popped a General Mint in and it sure is a wet one ... and salty!!
Don't think I've really noticed this before since I usually use them to
vacuum-marinate Kahlua and Bailey's Irish Creme; the excess moisture
is simply swallowed like a mini-cordial.

Both of the mints mentioned are white but the mini mint is listed as
General Dry Mint White Mini Portion (dry being the operative word).

The regular white mint drips like a regular non-white in disguise.

The other General white minis also have 50% water.

Maybe so but the salt shaker approach makes me cough like a mother!!
So I drink something refreshing and the juices flow even more.
I'll stick with the Kahlua and Bailey's marinated versions.
They're definitely more enjoyable.

That happens to me as well with General White Portion Mint.

I'm not sure why....... probably snusgetter is right about the water ratio in each brand/type ....

It's pretty annoying though with portions.... they're slipping from under the lip when there's too much saliva.......

I gave a friend a General mint about 2 months ago when he told me he was trying to quit smoking. I have never seen anyone with a bad reaction to snus before. SOme didn't like it, but I saw no actual negative reactions. Until my neighbor. He poipped it in his mouth, we stood there talking for a few minutes. Within 5 minutes his entire mouth filled up with saliva, and then he proceeded to vomit. he asked if I was trying to kill him. I told him even my wife uses the mints once in a while. I apologized but told him I have no idea why that happened. lol. I know its not the same thing as the OP is asking, but still.....

I recently tried General Mint and didn't notice that it dripped more. Perhaps the mint flavor is easier to detect when you swallow it?

I've been a smoker for 16 hears (heavy smoker) even though I'm still in my early 20's now .... I'm 26 ;-) ...... and still got a huge buzz from snus when I first stated using it...
People that aren't hooked on nicotine... shouldn't even think about snusing regular portions.... that's what mini's are for.,..

I tried several of the regular portions with no repercussions then I tried a Northerner Wintergreen purified mini and holy shit that hit harder than any of them. Now it's my goto snus..haha
