I suppose this has been done before, yet I have not been able to find it under my search results: what new flavors would you like to have offered? Sorry to the purests out there. How about beef jerky, lemon merangue, orange marmalade, gin and tonic with a little grenadine, tart blueberry? Those just came off the top of my head so don't think I am truly interested in those,.... well maybe tart blueberry.
Poll on what new flavors you would like.

beef jerky snus....some how I don't see that one marketed towards the ladies in one of those sleek looking cans.
Honestly, and i know you already kind of acknowledged this, but I really dig simple tobacco tastes. I really wouldn't be interested in more flavors. For example, the Off Road series do not appeal to me at all. I think one of the reasons I like snus so much is the simpler nuanced flavors.
However, one flavor that would interest me would honey dipped portions.
I love honey. In fact, I have 5 gallons of homemade mead I'm about to bottle. I wanted to get a couple hives going but am a little nervous about the neighbors. i live in one of those desperate house wife subdivisions where kids are constantly running around everyone's property (I'm in South Lyon now). I remember the days when you didn't dare go on somebody's property. But apparently in yuppyville thats acceptable behavior. I digress.

Snus is pretty good stuff right now as it is and the smoke flavor reminds me a little of bacon anyway, but if someone could come up with a well done chocolate snus that would be great.

I like the idea of honey that you mentioned. Is not honey a sort of preservative? Maybe than the salt could be reduced. Ahh, I like the idea of a good chocolate snus. Could you imagine an Ettan Loose with a subtle dark chocolate flavor with just a hint of vanilla? Maybe another Ettan with a dark chocolate mint, or a honey chocolate, or maybe even one with a high quality cinnamon? Why is there not a cinnamon flavored one anyway? We got friggin peach and cola that I don't think compliment tobacco but lack a cinnamon snus? I really like chocolate and that is why I like a warm can of cranberry and wintergreen loose snus by Offroad. Hell, I know the quality of the tobacco might not be as good as Ettan but I just like the different flavors once in a while. Kudos to having a Probe Whiskey loose! Why not a tart cherry chocolate. I originally come from the cherry capital of the world in Michigan. I could hook em up!
Separate note: Congrats on the mead. I used to make my own beer about 10 years ago. I was not a fantastic brewer but I knew how to "relax and have a homebrew". I switched to wine because I could get cherries for free and blueberries on the cheap. I had some roommates that got in to my wine that I put in to some beer bottles. I used champagne yeast. Needless to say they performed some life changing things after each had a six pack of my cherry wine. Bastards!

I would like to see some new different types of spice mixed with the snus. I am not sure what would mix well but there are so many where a little of the actual spice could be added to the snus in the process and make a big flavor difference. I have seen where others use Earl Grey tea to describe the bergamot flavor. There are so many other spices out there many used in different tea varieties, I don't see the need to make artificial flavors, just my opinion. I am really looking forward to Christmas and trying some of the once a year flavors I have read about. If they are any good, I don't understand why they would only sell them once a year though.

I haven't tried any heavily flavored snus yet so maybe there are already good brands pulling it off but I'd like to have some lightly flavored berry snus. Maybe strawberry or cranberry.
I've read a lot of complaints about most flavored snus, hopefully there are some out there with a good natural taste.

What I want is really simple.
I want snus that tastes like Edgeworth Ready Rubbed pipe tobacco.
A thick, chocolate natural tobacco smell and flavor, with an undertone of brown sugar and a hint of dark rum. Ettan is in the basic ballpark, but instead of a brown sugar/rum flavor, there's a peat-ish grape flavor there in the background.
But I'm betting the problem with my dream is that quite a bit of pipe tobacco is actually sweetened, whether directly with sugar/molasses/whatever, or through the addition of flavoring agents that contain sugar. Which is great if you're setting it on fire, but has serious (cavity-looking) drawbacks if you're sticking it on your gums for eight hours a day.
Which is probably why most flavored snus tastes like a packet of artificial sweetener.
If I was a rich man, I'd buy the rights to various vintage pipe tobaccos for snus use (i.e. Edgeworth, Blue Boar, London Dock, Carter Hall, ), produce snus with replicated/improved taste profiles based on the original products, then market them with retro-cool packaging based on the originals.
Anybody that's ever smelled a tin of Edgeworth Ready-Rubbed just as its opened knows what I'm talking about. Come on, snus makers. Quit making Assberry Cola Snus and start making real man's snus. Ettan's on the right track..

taco, fish, new car, oyster, spagetti, p***y, prime rib, toe nail, fart, banana. All these could be decent flavored snus. Some might need a tad of honey or vanilla to enhance the flavor a bit tho.
PPGrant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......
I've been wrong lots of times. Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

Naa I don't drink. As far as the fish flavor goes.........I guess that would be a duplicate flavor of the p***y flavor.

a catfish flavor would be good thoGrant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......
