    Skruf cans get a makeover

Skruf cans are getting a drastic makeover soon. The los varieties will be converted to black cans but the portions will remain white. There will be "strength meters" on the cans as well. As of now, I don't really dig the redesign. I prefer the simplified, chic can designs.

Maybe it is just me, but for the los cans, they seem to have 'downgraded' the appearance to the level of Knox. Not knocking Knox, but it is well known to be a 'value' snus. I wonder what the reasons are behind the changes? Are they are trying to re-image to boost sales?

I agree. It looks good. The white & black cans are also a good way to differentiate between portion and lös, and the strength meter is a plus.

If that's the case I really wish more manufacturers would consider registering their snus products with the FDA so they can sell their snus here to boost sales. The new cans are OK but I think the old ones look kind of cool myself.

That black can is sick! I don't even hardly ever use los, but I'll be buying a few tins of that.

I think the black tin looks pretty slick, but I'm not sure they should have changed. The white tin was distinctive, and the styling looked very Scandinavian to me.

I wish they hadn't changed it, especially the portion cans. The los isn't half bad

Yea...I don't straight up dislike the black los cans, I just liked the white better. White is such a clean looking color and I remember with my first can of Skruf, I was quite surprised that they were gutsy enough to put tobacco in a white can. Let me try this from a different angle, if Cope or Skoal were to be placed into a white can, I imagine (I could be wrong, I don't use dip) but from my limited observation, it seems as if that stuff would leave massive stains in the can, or a reminder to the consumer of how teeth-staining the product is. When skruf cans are empty, I am surprised by the lack of staining on the plastic. Kind of makes me feel better that it may not be staining my teeth as much. I dunno....I guess that's one of those crazy thoughts of a woman. LOL Guys - continue on with your chatter of love for the new black.....

                            Snus Nostalgia

Some people just don't like change, and I get that... But it will probably grow on most of you over time.

                            -----------

                            Snus cans of the past:

What do you think of these designs compared to what we have now? Personally, I like the newer can design for all of these brands (there's only two brands that appear to have stuck with their original design over the years: Ettan and Göteborgs Rapé).

Have only been into los a few months now but Skruf Xtra Stark is my favorite, followed by General Eksta Sterk and Skruf Stark los as seconds. A can does go farther than portions and with an Icetool it is so easy to adjust the size to what I feel like at the moment instead of just popping in a portion.

Will continue to buy Skruf Xtra Stark but I think they are making a mistake and branding themselves as a budget or economy brand.

                              We'll see!
