    Great video.

You should try "Mountain Dew Throwback". It doesn't have any of that 'High Fructose Corn Syrup' shit... They use the original formula that uses real, natural sugar. A 'throwback' to its Appalachian roots.

The real question, is Tim's Mountain Dew made with HFCS or sugar? Coke made in Mexico is made with cane sugar. You can find the imported Mexican Coke at some of the Hispanic grocery stores.

Here's an article on it. They also mention Pepsi Throwback http://www.nytimes.com/2009/10/11/ma...onsumed-t.html

..The Coca-Cola Company is by now quite familiar with the Mexican Coke cult. It is true, acknowledges a Coke spokesman, Scott Williamson, that different sweeteners are used by the company’s bottling partners in different parts of the world, for reasons having to do with price and availability...
HFCS is popular here in the states because of government interference, they give subsidies to farmers to grow corn and they apply import tariffs and quotas on cane sugar to protect US interests which in turn makes cane sugar more expensive, so it's cheaper for soft drink makers to use HFCS.

      Tim,

Great job on the review. I'm really surprised how much similarity there is to present day Ettan. I expected the grind to be different.

Those were American cans... As far as I know, only in America is Mountain Dew now known as "Mtn Dew" [which has HFCS]. They did this to make the brand seem more 'hip' and 'cool' to the kiddies.

The 'Throwback' version retains the classic brand name, logo, and recipe (made with real sugar).

Yeah, and it tastes like shit. **** corn syrup.

Are you sure about the pronunciation of "kardus"? I've always pronounced it as "cardew", like the Scottish Cardhu. I have no idea if I'm right or not. I'd be interested in hearing a Swede's input. Great video in any case, it looks delicious :^)

Same here. It's the first time I've heard it pronounced 'card-us'... I always thought it was pronounced 'card-ooh' (s being silent).

There's a shop up in Manchester that sells Mountain Dew.
24 cans will run you £21.47, delivery should add an extra £4.65

His pronunciation of Kardus is quite close, just pronounce the same way but change the first half "Kar" as in car with more of an US accent and its right!

When I met Conny from Swedish Match, the guy who's the tobacco pro over there, he pronounced it Kar-doos. Or kar-deuce, if that helps.
