    Ettan Texture

So I'm snusing this box of Ettan Kardus I got. Just wondering how similar the texture is to regular Ettan. I only had Ettan Los one time and it was over a year ago when I was still doing mostly portions. It seems like the can I got was real stuck together and hard, also much harder to bake than this stuff is. After some more experience with Los, it seems like that can may have been old.

My go to Los has been General Los, and then GES Los. I have also used Thunder, Oden, Gotlands Varieties, Roda Lacket and Goteborgs Prima Fint.

This Ettan is like none of these, or even the Ettan I tried a year ago. The texture is very soft, almost like tiny tobacco pillows that want nothing more than to stick to other pillows and be put in my mouth to instantly form a perfect shape for my snus pouch.

Is fresh Ettan always like this?

The grind of Ettan Kardus is very similar to Ettan Los. However Ettan Kardus is VERY fresh, so the softness may be a factor of how fresh that particular batch of snus is.

It's worth the wait Nash. Plus you are getting an icetool and an icetool box. Lucky!

Yep, that's super fresh snus, I've have cans like that and it's like winning lottery.

Of course in case of Ettan kardus, snus preserves itself better being surrounded by snus and stays fresh longer than in cans. I'd buy bulk snus if I could but seems a trip to Stockholm is in cards.

Ettan los is a lot like that until it dries out then it's not that great but still good.

The texture of ettan is very fine ... I'd say it's very similar to mud ...

...Roda Lacket is even finer than Ettan though....
