    Cutting back

Snus is not like cigarettes I guess, Any tips for cutting back on snus? If I snus all the time I get no effect aka waste of money. If I go 5 hours without I get a huge buzz endorfin release. :-D

It's the same as with cigarettes I think...

Only been snusing or one year...

If say you were a smoker, smoking 3 packs a day you could cut down two one pack gradually .....

The same goes with snus .... I only increased my snus intake in the past months... however I also do dip ... so sometimes I go or 8 hours without snus... ;-)

The problem is you are basically looking for a "high". (nic hit) Snus is more used to keep nicotine levels in the body constant, basically, to eliminate that up-and-down-seesaw-crap that you get with cigarrettes. I dont get the buzz anymore, nor do I want that over-nicotined-jittery-feeling. Maybe someone else can word it better for you.....

      And welcome to SnusOn!!

It's chasing the dragon, man. If you are using nicotine for a buzz then I'd suggest stopping all together. You'll eventually be unable to satisfy that craving. Tolerance is a mother****er. The issue with snus is that the blood nic level stays higher for longer than it did with butts. Your body doesn't deplete it fast enough to give you that buzz or at least you don't notice it. It's kinda like walking into a barn. At first it smells like shit in there, but after a while the smell isn't that bad. Go outside for a while and come back in and blamo...smells like shit again...for a little while. Don't snus for a day then put a sterk in...your head will swim, guaranteed but a day's worth of abstinence is hardly worth the 5 minute buzz IMO.

Two Thunders will ring your bell I'm sure but you'll even build up a tolerance to that so it would be ill-advised. You do get an effect from the snus though albeit you don't notice it...like the smell in the barn. Nicotine has an impact on brain function and that's science. You're normalizing and addiction is digging it's toes in. The buzz will go away. It's fun for a while but most of us don't do it for a rush.

I've been able to switch my morning ES portions with regulars without any problems. My prillas are a tad smaller than they used to be as well. I don't use snus for a buzz, but if I tried to stop or cut back too far I can imagine getting some pretty ugly withdrawal symptoms. If you're looking for more of the seesaw high/low spikes try nasal snuff. Good luck!

I was going to quit all oral tobacco, but sitting here kinda bored unemployed in the winter, in the house, I was jonesin', and missing my morning coffee and snus, so I caved in and made an order. Got it last night.
But, when I think of my snus usage, I really only use 2-4 portions a day, which to me, I don't think it bad or expensive.
I do want to stay true somewhat and not do dip or chew anymore, and los, I don't like how loose tobacco gets into my teeth.
