No tobacco flavor wtf I mean since their snus is supposedly pasteurized couldn't they add nothing but salt and wouldn't it taste light and similar to nothing which most people won't find repulsive even if it's not great. Skoal sounds worth a try except I'm drowning in mint snus with 1 can of general mint, 9 cans of jak's mint and 10 cans of thunder. I should try it before they charge like 8 dollars a can (that's in washington grizzly is 3 dollars and I assume the snus will cost 5.50 or so same as cope).

Just got some of this stuff and made a short video about it. Overall impression.... Not bad. This is probably the best American snus I have had yet.

Hmm, seems technically, the maxi-pad size is the thing they need to work on. Are these the same size as dip pouches?

Okay so the Marlboro sucks and the Skoal is okay. So now the problem is I hate mint snus. Big tobacco lets me down again....

One main reason I hope there is someday a good US snus is so I don't have to spend so much making online orders, and it'd be great to get a real good snus at the local store.

Great video. I want to try both by comparison and see which one is more satisfying.

I agree. I'd like to see a good US snus that sells well on the market. Competition will entice Swedish Match and the other Swedish tobacco companies to expand their selection across the country, and in turn, will entice Skoal and the others to improve their snus. Then, we can have the best of both worlds.

Still haven't seen the new Skoal or Marlboro... I really want to try the Skoal snus. It looks and sounds good from what I've seen and heard.

The Skoal tastes ok. The Smooth Mint. Just such a huge portion size!

Alright, full review with pics, comparisons, and cut tests to see what's in the snus itself.

Good review Chad. I like the extra step of the cut test to show what's inside :^)

I try to do that with the American stuff to compare and all. Looking at the new Spearmint you'd think it was just as moist, but when you open it you find it's not, it's really interesting. It's why I figured it's the oil used to add the mint flavor that soaked into the portion material and made it look more moist.

Oddly enough, the portions in the can of Marlboro Mint I bought last night look completely different than yours, Chad. They look bone dry in contrast.

Out of curiosity, I placed a pouch of Skoal Mint snus in my bottom lip, since I haven't dipped in a long time. It's actually a good idea: you get the sensation of dipping without the need to spit. To me, it tastes similar to Skoal Mint dip. I would be inclined to purchase another can of Skoal snus if they made it in the Classic flavor.

So in conclusion if your out of snus and can't get a can locally, then get skoal smooth mint or maybe mint.

We always compare these US snus pouches next to a Swede portion, but I'm curious of the size comparison with a US dip pouch.
