I just got back from the store, and I hate how US grocery stores have the tobacco stuff like 10 feet from the counter and a worker that has no idea what they have. I was wanting some Copenhagen Pouches, and they didn't have that, I asked if they had Grizzly Snuff Pouches, and the woman looked and pulled an old can out that didn't have the new label, so I said no thanks. I was peeringover the counter, and saw a new can of the Marlboro Snus, but the sweet of all these new US snus just doesn't appeal to me, that's why I buy Twinkies(which I did). But I was really craving a dip pouch, and told the woman, oh give me the Grizzly Snuff Pouches anyway, and then she pulls out a newer can with the label from the rack, so I got that. It's a chore buying tobacco at the grocery store, and the specialty T shops are out of my way.
New Skoal snus and new Marb snus has appeared at my gas station!

I definitely have a dog in this fight, and by fight I meant the U.S. snus market. My personal opinion echos that of lxskllr and others, in that I refuse to support these American companies, but my reason for this might be different though. Let me ask all you supporters of U.S. tobacco companies something, do you really think that the American tobacco companies could make a better snus product? Especially knowing that these companies employ some of the best and brightest chemist and flavor engineers in the world?? These companies have f'd with the American consumer for years, and they're doing it again with these feeble attempts at snus. If they really wanted to make a snus product that would help people quit smoking, they would do it...if they really wanted to make a snus product that would appeal to their HUGE consumer base of dip users...they would.
I don't understand the blind faith in these companies, I hate them for lying to me for so many years. It's as if these companies are saying, "okay, we hear you...you want a safer product called snus, well..here you go, this is our version. Go ahead, try it...it's safe" Why would I expect these companies to stop lying to me now, and better yet, why would I support them after lying to me in the first place? Remember guys, this is just my personal opinion here..my professional opinion is a bit different. Go ahead an support the companies that brought you inferior, harmful products for so many years....and I'll keep busting my ass to make Swedish snus a reality at brick and mortars in the U.S. by educating wholesalers and retailers and then selling the REAL snus products to them, so that we can all walk down the street and buy Swedish snus at our local store. Swedish snus can and will be a reality in the U.S., but not if the American public "accepts" what RJR, PM and Skoal have offered as real snus...it's up to us to teach the public differently, and it's up to me to make sure they have access to real Swedish snus when they do find out the truth. **steps down off his soapbox**
My professional opinion is this....these companies have to offer snus products to have some representation in this category. It's new, trendy and a growing market vertical, and there is money to be made. It's a smart move on their part to pick up sales anywhere they can in these days.
I won't buy anymore, I will use these two cans, and not regret trying them. When they try again I will probably try it too. I am not fooled by product at all and will remember at least they tried.
I am not fond of portions, (these are way to big to be called portions) if they could come up with a los in the future. I will try it.
I am disappointed, Americans and American companies can accomplish anything. Maybe they will keep trying.

Tried the smooth mint.
Although the portions were quite large they were extremely comfortable material. (Ground breaking?) Like a soft pillow feeling. After my work party I double barreled and had no problems. They seem to deflate.
The flavor kept with USA tradition of sweet and no real tobacco flavor. Nic hit is there and comes on similar to real snus but in a artificial way. Hard to explain other then there might be some additives in this stuff.
It seemed like they looked at all the American snus (not swedish) and asked themselves how can we make this better and this is where it evolved.
