UPS is helping me quit nicotine

i was running out of snus and made an order with notherner the first week this month. they were super fast with packaging, but ups is super slow with shipping (even though it cost over $13 to ship a paackage that weighs less than 2 pounds).

my original scheduled delivery day was last wednesday, and as i was tracking the shipment they kept coming up with daily excuses for not delivering. wednesday it was "emergency conditions out of ups control." thursday's was, "package left at facility, will be delivered the next business day." friday was back to emergency conditions, "will deliver next business day." well now its saturday and of course they dont deliver on weekends. ill have to wait until monday to hear their next excuse.

so what the hell is their problem? delays like these are unheard of with usps, and fedex, really. anyway, i still have a can of old, very expired general wintergreen that i pop once in a while. but wintergreen smells exactly like pepto bismol and i dont like it. maybe i should give the american brands another try and force myself to like them.

I make small orders and the 25-30 bucks with Buysnus or Snuscentral with a 3-4 day delivery has been spendy but at least satisfactory compared to a week and half or more with other options.

Wow thats crazy! I'm not that far from PA where their warehouse is but it only took about 5 business days for the order to be delivered...that many delayed deliveries is unacceptable, I would be on the phone giving them hell for it haha especial if I was going through nicotine withdraws.

I had the same crap from UPS on a shipment from Northerner this week. Scheduled to arrive on Thursday, and now delayed until Monday. The worst part of it is that since the package needs to be signed for I have to make sure that my wife or I are home to take care of it. I can understand UPS ground service getting delayed one day for a big storm, but two days off schedule for snow in Massachusetts is unheard of. We salt and plow the hell out of the roads here. Wednesday's storm was pretty bad, but Thursday was business-as-usual for everyone expect for a few schools that didn't want kids walking out in the streets due snow piled high on sidewalks.

The UPS snow delay isn't Northerner's fault, and I appreciate all of the work that they have done to make snus available in the US, but I wish that they would pick up the pace when it comes to shipping. I placed the order on Sunday, yet they didn't actually ship until Tuesday. I order a lot of stuff online and most vendors that do the bulk of their business on the web are equipped to ship orders same weekday as long as you get the order in by a certain time. The expectation is that a Sunday order should be packed and shipped on Monday.

agreed. we already verified our age upon ordering, why do they need this too? ive been getting my brother to house-sit for me when i cant be there, just for the signature thing. to be honest, i dont mind a long shipping time; but they NEED to deliver on the day that's scheduled so i can coordinate what to do. it's frustrating.

heres something funny. several days after i made my order with notherner, i ordered a bunch of e-cig supplies, from 3 different vendors, all using usps charging from free to $4.50 shipping. ive recieved every one of those orders the other day and have been happily vaping away. the verdict: usps doesnt mess around. they just get your stuff to you as fast as possible without any silliness.

I hate hate hate UPS. I'd send a package by donkey out of spite if I could. Everybody complains about USPS price and service, but they're my favorite carrier by far. It doesn't get more convenient, and the stuff quickly gets where it should. UPS is also good for abusing packages. I've gotten boxes absolutely destroyed by them. Luckily, nothing delicate was inside.

fun fact, UPS has a contract with USPS, so that USPS would deliver some of their packages. It's weird that I know this, because I live in the UK, but I watched a video on youtube of I don't even remember what, and the guy who is a mailman casually mentioned it.

I won something at snusauction.com not long ago and it took less than 3 working days for it to get to me from Sweden by UPS. I always figure at least a week if it is coming from another state.

I am having the same issue with my order from getsnus. UPS delays twice due to "Adverse Weather Conditions".

I had the same issue with my order, but I live in GA, and my package was stuck in the Raleigh, NC facility for 2 days while it was closed due to the snow and icy roads in the southeast, and then I couldnt sign for my own package when It arrived because I'm just 18. Luckily my parents are okay with my snusing, after I explained to them the reduced risk of snusing vs American dip and cigarettes. They would rather I quit, but they understand the need for nicotine and like that I don't smoke now.
Anyway, I got my parents to come to the UPS facility and sign for it so I could have my Snus ASAP.

I guess I've been lucky that my UPS guy doesn't give a damn. He never bothers even making sure that anyone signs, let alone checking my ID. Of course, give it another few months, and it won't matter anyway.
