    Why I hillbilly Pinch

The reason a hillbilly pinch looks big is because it is not compressed like a handbaked or prismastered prilla.

After a few years of snusing and a few years of handbaking and using a portion tool I came to the conclusion that it takes ages for a prilla to release its full flavour and fully release all of its nicotine.

taking a pinch straight from the can gives you an instant blast of flavour and the nic hit is awesome.

but here is the thing, it is baked (slightly) I press a pinch up against the side of the can, then push under my lip then using my tongue I compress any loose bits into the wad of snus. So this means the snus that is exposed to the mouth is baked and the snus directly on my gum and lip is not thus releasing all that flavour and nicotine.

I can then keep that pinch in for an hour or more and it does not break up.

I would highly recommend any user of lös snus to try this method it rocks.

I'm Going to keep trying this method as i have done a few times before and you are 100% correct when you say you get an instant blast of flavour and the nic hit is awesome. I just need to perfect it... Not an easy task.... But will try. I just can't seem to keep that pinch in for 20 min. let alone an hour...lol

Hand-baking snus is relatively new phenomena. The vast majority of older Swedes simply compress the tobacco against the walls of the can and place it in their lip. I'm sure they laugh when they see younger people putting in the effort to perfectly shape their snus.

Here are the reasons I hillbilly pinch los:

        1. It's way faster.
        2. You don't get a brown tobacco-tinge on the palm of your had.
        3. The snus is more comfortable in the mouth, since the consistency is softer and less uniform.
        4. Less of a lip bulge (refer back to #3).
        5. More flavor.
        6. More nicotine.
        7. It looks cool (using a tool to get tobacco out of a can looks unmanly).

Hmm I'll have to try it, that's a big problem with loose snus is that a prilla of ettan seems to mess with my gums.

            +1

Prilla and compressing the snus will decrease 50% of the flavor and kick...

I usually use a tool and sometimes handbake. I,ve tried a hillbilly pinch before but it was messy. I,m going to keep at it though.
              Thanks for your insight Snusify.

Just wanna give my congrats to Snusify for the great vids. I saw them all before entering in this snus madness.

I remember thinking: "What a hell is this guy talking about? Is that some kind of nicotine candy?"

                Well, it really is.

I can't wait to give Los another try.

i handbaked for a few days before switching to pinching it right out of the can.
been doing that for a yr now
handbaking was meh for the reasons listed above plus:
                      -hard as hell when driving
-messy and wasteful, the prilla is always too big
-takes too much time at work, plus my hands are dirty
-looks stupid and gay (but not quite as gay as using the tool thingie...plus
who wants to carry more shit in their pockets?)
i typically only buy swedish match products, 95% which is ettan los...i have no problem
pinching any of these brands for well over an hour...usually get's bitter and gross before
                      it breaks apart.
i've been known to pass out with a pinch in, wake up hours later and the prilla is still in one
                      place in my lip.
pretty easy i don't see why people would do it any other way (though i haven't tried a lot of the other
snus' that people claim is too hard to raw pinch...though, i bet these products were made long before
icetools or handbaking came into style

I haven't wanted to hand bake since getting an icetool a couple of years ago, but I too still sometimes do a small loose, two finger pinch, for the reasons already mentioned. It's an almost immediate hit, really flavorful, and it's a nice change from having a pris or portion bulging in the mouth.

I prefer the pinch over baking too. I've tried baking before but never got fast enough, and it just isn't worth the effort if you have an icetool. For me, icetool = quick and easy like a portion, but for los. Pinch = when I want a huge hit of flavour and larger amount of snus.
