Thought I'd make use of my latest killed can of Skruf los. I'm an avid fly fisherman and get out on the rivers up here in B.C. as much as I can. When I'm not 'allowed' out i usually go down to the basement and tie my own flies. I've taken it one step further and made this cool little fly box out of a Skruf can. Just bought some peel n stick craft foam, and cut it to shape. Then I put a thick lateral bead of marine goop over the lid and side of the can to form a flexible hinge. I thought it came out pretty slick. Lid snaps shut nice n snug and the hinge keeps it from falling in the water when reaching for a new fly. Good conversation piece out on the river with the other guys fishing.

I know, I know, ...you're thinkin' dude, get a life! But my fly tying bench is downstairs where all my little girls toys are so she can play contently while i whip up new creations to try and fool trout and salmon. Pretty good set-up. Anyway, thought i'd share. Recycled snus can? Check.

Snus (or chew) cans make great waxworm containers for us northerners who enjoy ice fishing. Don't crush near as easily as the syrofoam containers that they come in. Nothing like sitting on the ice, fishing, with a lip full of los.....and beer!
