Roda Lacket Los, where's the flavour?

For my first attempt at los I tried Roda Lacket (still in at the moment) and I'm a little underwhelmed. I tried the icetool I bought with it but ended up baking it by hand as I think I got a more consistently firm pris. I stuffed it in, gave a little squeeze. Although it feels rather large and I can feel the nic hit I have yet to detect any flavour whatsoever. All I get is a very very slight tobacco taste if i touch it with my tongue. With los I was expecting a flavour hit along the lines of the Ettan pouches I've tried (and very much enjoy).

Could it be my tastebuds or is this normal with Roda Lacket or los in general?
Does the flavour only rear it's head after it's been in there a while?

I'm quite surprised I haven't experienced mud mouth yet although it's encroaching more on my teeth than I'm used to with portions. I think I may need to use a smaller pris or put it further to one side.

I'm going thru the same, for my first los I also tried roda and I was not able to discern any taste until my 3rd or 4th pris, I did discover that the longer you keep it in your mouth the taste becomes more flavorful, I would say like around minute 10 also is not really runny unless you start playing with it.

Arggh, 25 minutes and mud mouth, not doing as well as I thought I was but still no flavour. Keep trying I suppose, it feels nicer than a portion but not something I would do when out and about.

Panamaniac is correct. RL loose is definately a marathon snus. The longer you keep a pris in, the better/more flavorful it becomes. Dont expect much of a "flavor" though. RL is primarily just a strong tobacco taste with lots of salty flavor (possibly not actually from the salt content, but from the salty licorice undertone).

Hurm, I believe a can of RL loose is one I included in my first loose order (5 cans to try it out).. is this a more "advanced" snus (flavor profile wise)?

Picked up the following (should be here next week sometime):
          Roda Lacket
          Montecristo Loose
          General
          Ettan
          Goteborgs Prima Fint

As just a few looses to try.

I would definately suggest waiting a bit before diving into the RL, Ettan & Prima Fint loose.

The first can of Ettan i tried i hated because I couldnt taste anything (wound up giving it away after a couple pieces). After a few months, I jumped into my cans of RL and PF (fearing that I would hate them for being so subtle) and they have become two of my favorites. I am going to toss another can of ettan on my next order and give that a go, but I will most likely be ordering an entire roll of PF and RL.

Well, then, I'll probably start with the General and Montechristo and move on form there. Thinking of throwing in a can of Skruf los when I make my next portion order (probably sometime in may-june).

RL is the loose I use, but only occasionally, as I use portions 90% of the time. I find the RL flavour strong and appealing compared to General and Ettan, the only other looses I have ever tried.

I used to not like RL very much because of the lack of flavor.
Now I like it because my previous can apparently lost the freshness..upon first opening it it's a pretty good flavor.
It's a flavor that doesn't really excite, it's just smooth. Much like the nicotine. Not the kind to clobber you with. It's a chill snus.
If you try RL portions, you'll notice that the flavor is much more bouncy and vibrant, it has the RL loose base flavor topped with a nice dried fruits taste...hence why the RL portions cans have abstract art on them with red in them somewhere, and the loose cans are just plain red...going back to loose, you'll probably appreciate it more.

                    Loda Racket?
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......
