    Where is the nicotine?

So I finally cracked open my can of Offroad Wintergreen and if I remember correctly, it's supposedly 8mg of nicotine per portion. Well...where is it? I can't detect even the slightest nic hit. As for tolerance levels, other 8mg portions generally feed my craving. Maybe it's just this can, but it seems weaker than camel frost.

Anyone else ever come across a can that seems weaker than it should be?

Have you been using a lot of strong portions lately, or do you usually use 8mg?

I rarely use strong portions. I usually use about 6 8mg portions a day while at work and class. It seems with this can, I've gone through double.

I assume v2 snus has a low pH level, since I never felt much of a buzz with their brands, except for Thunder, which delivers a modest amount of nicotine, albeit no stronger than regular strength (8mg) Swedish Match portions. Swedish Match and BAT (Lucky Strike, Granit, etc.) seem to deliver the most nicotine, even when taking regular strength portions into account.

It's not a big deal to me really. I really don't like this one very much. I just wanted something new to taste. It seems to lose flavor rather quickly too. As for V2, I use Phantom Blue in my regular rotation and it gives me my fix for the most part. I do agree though, SM portions seem to deliver a bigger hit, even though the nicotine content is reportedly the same.

How long have you been snusing? It'll make 2 years for me later on, and I still feel a wicked hit from a good thunder in the morning. Other than that, I don't look for nicotine so much. It's really about flavor now more than the hit. I think I'm just maintaining the nic level more than anything.

Well, I had my first real snus a few months back, but I've smoked and dipped for a good while before getting into snus. I guess I'll crack open my thunder and give it a taste. I don't typically look for a good nic hit, I just want it to feed my craving haha. This Offroad Wintergreen just isn't cutting it. Maybe I just feel a bit more stressed than usual.

I bought Off Road Wintergreen and did 2 portions and threw the rest in the freezer at work in case I ever run out there. It had very little flavor and like you are saying I didn't feel the nicotine satisfied my craving. Thunder Frosted ES does the trick (a little too well sometimes) for some reason even though Thunder Berry and Wintergreen have 16Mg of nicotine they feel half as strong as Frosted does?

Hmm yeah general extra sterk is slightly stronger I think but not much, skurf extra sterk though is a failure to me it's weaker than thunder and it's supposed to be 22mg. In the end thunder is dirt cheap so it works out. I also think jakobsson's isn't as strong as people say Onyx is stronger than the mint/wintergreen. I think it also depends on the can sometimes with smaller manufacturers but not as much swedish match.

I got a roll of Offroad Cranberry a few months back and it's garbage too. I felt like I wasn't getting any nic off it so I gave one to a friend at work that doesn't use tobacco normally. He told me he felt nothing and Camel Frost has more nic. And the Cranberry has NO flavor. Worst snus ever. But the OR original and C/V has been good in my experiences.

as snus gets older even frozen the moisture leaves and for some snus that's all it takes for it's delivery system to get screwed. and i know everyone says it's not so but read some chemistry books. age, air and temp affects everything in this world. less water or how well it is mixed in snus affects the nic absorption. so the nic is probably still there but it just don't enter you. i used to really like offroad wintergreen loose. like all snus brands i really like, they quit making them. i am waiting on them to stop making general es loose pretty soon since it's my main brand now.

Also, do you switch sides? If you just use one side, your gums will toughen up, and let less nicotine in.

Wierd, because I always get a pretty good buzz from Offroad Wintergreen Portions, and don't get me started on the Thunder 16mg/g portion Wintergreen, those guys kick my ass everytime xD Maybe you got a can from a bad batch?
