I'm not certain that SM can claim trademark infringement based on "round cans", but who knows. The entire bacteria thing, well I'd have to see some clinical studies done by an impartial research facility, and if I were V2...I'd be leading the charge with this (*hint, hint* Patrick). I for one don't believe that
V2 produces an inferior product, is it different than SM's products...yep, and that's part of what I like about them. Also, they are very pro-active in producing products that we and the U.S. market like, and they include many of us in that creative process. For that I'm greatful.

Yeah time to sue U.S. Smokeless, Conwood, Nasal snuff makers, and Jack links. How about swedish match does something like hire some chemists and find a way to have less water in their cans while maintaing the ph level and flavor, trademark the process and get a tax advantage so their snus is cheaper.

Yes indeed how about instead of whining they start producing discount flavored snus (assuming that's what's popular). I guess even they are afraid of cannibalizing their own brands. It's kind of like the U.S.S.T.C. situation in the 90s once you have 90 percent market share the only way your going to go is down. It doesn't mean you won't still sell stuff but as a large company they can't seem to do stuff like not discontinue claq qui while managing to produce I believe we're at 17 now varieties of general that essentially taste the same. For background I think the reason V2 is successful is that they didn't increase their prices after a tax increase on snus so general went from being a dollar more to being a dollar fifty more than say offroad, I've never tried offroad but if I were paying 6 dollars a can I would look at something costing 4.50 and at least give it a try.

Fsck Swedish Match. The more I think about it, the more it pisses me off. They were handed a golden monopoly back in the 60s and now they're whining when they actually have to compete instead of just operating like a bunch of filthy communists. I think I'm finished with them. Once my stash is gone, that'll be it for Swedish Match and me. They're overrated anyway. The only reason they're so popular is because of the monopoly. If they had to compete the whole time, they'd be a second tier maker :^S

V2 posts here, I am suprised they haven't. Maybe they haven't seen the thread. I like V2, as a company, I don't know about bacteria, but they have made some great snus', but they also have made some that were not up to par, like a QA issue.

I mentioned it to Frank on the phone yesterday, and he knew about it and said that he had spoken to Patrick about it, and that it's BS basically. I would like to see Patrick go have his own independent studies done to stick it to SM a little, lol
