What do your family/lover/etc think of snus if they don't use it themselves?

I've offered snus to most of my buddies that smoke and they either say "get that pansy Swedish crap outta here" or they try one and get floored by the nicotine. I have yet to convert anyone.

Most of my non-smoking friends haven't even noticed that I use snus. Those who have just look kind of perplexed.

Family and coworkers: nobody knows and I don't plan to tell them (except perhaps my dad, who is a lifelong smoker). My job requires me to be in front of clients on a regular basis, many times presenting or conducting meetings, and nobody has ever said anything or let on that they notice, even with regular portions. My company is small (<50 people) and I use snus all day at my desk and in meetings, and still nobody has noticed.

My girlfriend does not hate that I snus, she let's me make my own decision and I told her all about the minimal health risks. I'm honestly a better functioning person with either nicotine or prescription ADHD medication and I think she prefers that I use snus. I'm not sure if she knows about the los, as I never let it go mudslide all over my mouth and I only use los at the end of the day.

I got into an argument with my mom and two aunts about my snus consumption a couple a days ago. It ended with me calling them willfully ignorant and them just pissed off. My uncle was intrigued though, he's thinking about making the switch from the e-cig.

It varies for me. My girlfriend doesn't seem to mind, at the very least is glad i don't smoke like i used to. Most people seem to equate it to dip no matter what i tell them or sources of information i point them to. Some people think it's gross. Some don't care at all.

Back when i used portions and people saw me putting one in and inquired about it, i often told them it was candy. Kind of got to a point of being tired of trying to explain what it was and how it was different from other forms of tobacco with little or no understanding or willingness to understand from people.

Bearpig loves the snus over smoking. Only rule is "try" not to get brown stains on her pillow.

My family is proud that I quit smoking. That 60 Minutes special convinced a lot of the older relatives that snus is ok.
