    Media, facts, bullshit, about snus

How many of you think that the media is the main problem about snus and the 'hate' for it by the general population?

Just an article I came across today: http://translate.google.com/translat...%3Fid%3D392799

Now, I like the way google translates the text under the picture as "Härm says snus is far safer than cigarettes.",
when it actually says "Härm says snus is not much safer than cigarettes".

I've already seen many of such articles posted here, but the general population doesn't research the Facts but just listens to the media.

that is so wrong, and it is baseless, everything they wrote could be refuted so easily. It is just PURE lies.

Yea, the media and the government are tobacco's biggest problem. It's been a brainwashing campaign for the last 20 years or so, and it's been working. It's organized by anti tobacco zealots thatwould still be against it if tobacco was found 100% safe, it added 3 inches to your penis, and boosted your IQ by 60 points :^S

ROFLMAO...so true, so true. Its crazy how the Swedes have studied this stuff to death and you still get the anti-tobacco crowd saying, "oh, its still tobacco...its bad for you."

2000 different chemical compounds??? I really doubt that. Just another anti tobacco zealot who won't be happy until the world is not only smoke free but tobacco free too. What a bunch of BS

I've given up snus (few weeks ago), and already I notice a much stronger libido. My energy level is higher.
My doctor told me that snus is safer then cigarettes, but not a safe product because of the high amounts of nicotine.

And nicotine cloggs up arteries and causes strokes & heart attacks.

Just my 2 cents on this

2000 is probably right, but that doesn't mean anything, because everything that is natural is made up of thousands of different chemicals. 99.99 % of them are harmless

Wheat is likely the main culprit in causing clogged arteries and heart attacks. Been following Dr.Davis lately.

Strokes? I think there are some studies on that but the main cause was the smoke not the nicotine that caused stress on the system.

Now, let's see about adderral, a drug given to children: "Physical side effects of dextroamphetamine use can include anorexia, hyperactivity, dilated pupils, flushing, restlessness, dry mouth, bruxism, headache, tachycardia, bradycardia, tachypnea, hypertension, hypotension, fever, diaphoresis, constipation, blurred vision, aphasia, dizziness, twitching, insomnia, numbness, palpitations, arrhythmias, epistaxis, tremors, dry and/or itchy skin, acne, pallor, convulsions, seizure, stroke, coma, heart attack and death can occur while using Dextroamphetamines."

Those are given to children, but snus which does NOT cause coma, nor death is getting so bad reputation, you never hear about people trying to ban adderral and it never hits the media.

Yeah xrt is probably right it's not harmless, I never claim it is, what I think is snus doesn't cause cancer at all period, it doesn't give you trouble breathing or cause lung problems like emphysema and copd, as far as I know the main thing it does is stain your teeth and jack up your blood pressure. My mom is a certified doctor and said that energy drinks made your wiener shrink which I don't believe. She also reminds me that all ST causes mouth cancer I just don't argue, even she thinks smokeless tobacco is healthier than smoking.

The anti-tobacco movement as a whole is a real tragedy. It started from what was really a sincere concern for public health, but it moved from that to being an industry on which jobs and livelihoods now depend. It has a vested interest in demonizing tobacco in whatever form and at any cost, truth be damned.

                      It's both infuriating, and depressing.

When I smoked my pipe I made sure to go out and smoke it during their smoke out days. Can't do this now because with really good Swedish snus I don't spit.
