What makes you keep buying snus?

Just figured this would be an interesting post, or an obvious one. Thought of it last night but I think I rephrased the question. I think if they upped the price too much I would stop. But they all are important to me.

It's pretty expensive already to buy snus I think. I buy it for the nicotine and for the taste. The ritual is also a great deal for me.

haha, Yeah if your in Norway your pretty much getting price raped but ordering online is still good for me, I dont order a rediculous amount at a time so it doesn't really show and the cans themselves are about a third of the cost of ciggarettes and they last longer (for me). I'm hoping everybody votes 'money' and maybe some one involved in the snus manufacturing industry will notice and choose not to inflate the prices at the risk of losing customers. Odds are they will slowly increase the price and before we know it we're paying $20 US for one can of 'Gotland Floder'. (im not dissing the brand, I just went on Swedish-snus.com and looked for a cheap snus and that was the cheapest to show up not on sale)

        Cons:

        - Quite expensive - at $10 for one can, it's quite an expensive habit
        - Not very social (but who cares, as long as we like it the rest doesn't matter)
        - Very addictive (hard habit to break I guess, but definitely healthier than cigs or cigars not to mention pipe)

        Pro's:

        - Very tasty
        - Healthier than smoking
        - Large variety

Do you buy yours online? Because thats pretty expensive. If you dont then I definately reccomend you start buying online because it is cheaper, especially if you buy in bulk. Im about to order 16 mixed cans at $78 AUS shipping included so thats just under 5 bucks a can that lasts me about two days whereas a pack of ciggies would last half a day costing 12 bucks a pack.

            ummmm.......the devil?
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

Yep, Id have to go with addicted as well. There are other means to intake nicotine, but snus is alot safer, that alone makes it worth while, even if it goes up alot more. Snus has a great nic hit, that is long lasting, and it tastes great. Not to mention the huge variety.

I just like the cans. There is tobacco in them? Well...I will have to try it then.

                  :-)

Cheaper and healthier than smoking. Cleaner than dip.

                    Taste.

Nasal snuff is much cheaper than snus so if I was flat out broke I'd use my snuff until I just gave up on nicotine. I probably have several pounds of snuff so I'll have it 'till the end of my days as it is. I've learned that I can get enough nic out of any tobacco product so that's out. Actually, cans of Grizzly are cheaper here than snus is but given that a can is gone in a day it makes it more expensive to use. Taste is where it's at for me...and convenience and discretion. I would actually prefer less nicotine but I can't get past the mouthfeel with minis. We need a Grov Lite.

That's where I'm at, minus the dip. That's a non starter due to spitting. I'll use spit tobacco outside, doing outdoorsy things, but around the house, it's just nasty.

I like the taste of snus. I like snuff too, and I have a bunch of it, but snus is what I really like for the taste. They could probably cut the nicotine by 75% and it would still work for me.

Price? I have no idea; I haven't bought snus in forever. I suspect I'm in for a case of sticker shock when that time comes though. $15 per week is my target price for tobacco. That's what I paid when I was smoking, and I'd like my tobacco budget to stay below that.

It was the lesser of two evils...I want nicotine. So its either smoke and die...or snus and live. Screw those farks at the FDA and the anti-tobacco lobby. I'd rather be 80 years old and siting on my porch with a nice ole fat portion in my mouth saying...this stuff causes cancer? GTFO! The big upside with snus for me is that a pack of smokes lasted me...well a day. A can of snus last me about 5-7 days..so yeah, cost effective and it does its job.
