    Viking Snus Thailand.

I was looking for options for getting snus in Asia and found this. Has anyone tried it? How comparable to Swedish snus bought in Sweden would you say this is?

How can they use those names on their product. Grov, General and Ettan. Is it because they put Viking in front of it. This may give sm something better todo than bother v2.

Yeah but a can of their portions has 50 in it! Note that I still think V2 snus is probably much better as well as cheaper per portion. By comparison 50 portions of Thunder is around 5 bucks.

Yeah even with 50 though. I'm sure the organic 100% thai tobacco is kind of expensive in small batches but You're in Thailand aren't labor costs and everything cheaper there? I guess since general is 8 dollars in washington it's not that bad and if you're a tourist it's better than 12 dollars for a can of cope at a bar in a 5 star hotel.

I was going to order some of this Thai Snus but there prices are too frigg'n high , they want 1000 Thai Bhat for shipping on top of the 1000 THB for the Snus which = $65 for 5 cans they can keep it for that price

I've dealt with the Thai govt off and on for years in business.

Have tremendous respect for these guys even being able to produce a new tobacco product. The Thai Tobacco Monopoly was just that for many years and most Thai cig brands are still govt owned.

Hope it works out for them and they eventually become a low cost producer but right now, yeah, it is expensive.

I'm a Swede living in Thailand. When I run out of my supply of the Swedish made snus, I ordered (in desperation) a sample of the 5 different snus that Viking Snus makes. It was the worst crap I have ever put in my mouth... It has to much water in it, it tasts just bad and has no resemblance at to the general, fin, grov, portion or ettan snus as is printed on the labels. I cannot recommend this snus to anyone..

On Phuket, which is a major destination for Scandinavian people, you can usually buy Swedish Match snus or some of the other Swedish manufacturers snus, but now (in June) it is monsune season and nothing is available. There was one local Thai manufacturer with the brands Dynamite snus and Nobel snus that was really good, but they seem to have gone out of production.
