Pioneer is now listed as in stock over at northerner
I will really be interested in trying this.
Also.........I thought the new Odens...........was just the old Odens...............in a new can?
Is there something I missed somewhereWhen it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

snusdog, the new Odens can says Made in Sweden right on the lid, the original Odens was made in Denmark, so it's suspected it is made by GN Tobacco who makes Olde Viking, and Odens 69.
Yeah, I saw the Pioneer was at Northerner and I ordered some, and some others I never tried before.

I have viewed TSNA analysis from Eurofins and Pioneer is around 0.97 which puts it in the average range of most standard Swedish Snus.
Hope this helps!

And just to be a chump, can i ask would a figure such as 0.97 be fairly consistent if say a batch was tested every six months or so. I'm curious because i may end up out that part of the world one day for a while and instead of importing crazy amounts of snus it'd be nice to support the local enterprise.

OK OK! The day has arrived, well, it came yesterday.
PIONEER SNUFF!
This is my initial review. I did try 1 prilla yesterday, but it's a new day, just got up, made some coffee.....
OK, the can labels are made to sell in the USA, with warnings all preprinted on the side and top. I like how the can sticker looks, simple, yet effective. The plastic can though, is a bit cheapy, but it works.
Opening the can, mine was a little hard as the sticker with the serrations was not on the line of the lid, but I got it open.
Smell, it smells great, and does smell different than Swedish made, it's a lighter yet robust smell. Very nice.
Looks about the same as Swedish, though it seems a little more spongey, with lots of little ball like clumps, but the moisture if fine.
Handbakes well, and easy.
Taste, this stuff is great, I have to force myself not to eat it. Has a distinct taste, similar to the smell, kinda airy, yet bold, and different than the General loose I've been using before I got this. I like this. I don't know if I can say it's better than made in Sweden snus, but it's right up there equally, yet stands out because it does have a distinct taste more of natural tobacco but of a different blend, well it's Laos grown tobacco, and yes, it is different, and very good.
Many new snus come and go, and some just arn't well received, like Olde Viking and Chaini Khaini, but this SHOULD be really liked. I'm getting a nic effect now, having this with my morning coffee. But this is HIGHLY recommended by me, it's great. In fact, I'd give this a 5 out of 5. Hmmm, I think it has a cigarish taste.
New loose snus from Laos, Pioneer Snuff, great great item.

I'm not a heavy user, so the 2 cans I got will last me a while, plus I bought along with these some other snus I had never tried, Landstroms, Gullivares, General Extra Sterk, plus I had some General Loose already, but this Pioneer is definately one I'd buy again. I just spit out that horrid Chaini Khani Mango, which I just reviewed, and am making lunch, but afterwards, I can't wait to put in some more of this Pioneer.
