Flavored just doesn't do it for me anymore.

It's weird that I've gotten to this point. But interesting.

When I first started using Swedish Snus in May 09 I used all flavored. ALL flavored. Coming over from Camel I leaned more towards mint, so that's what I used the most of.

Gradually, as time went on I experimented with the traditional (bergamot)/unflavored snuses. Mint and others began to gradually move into the background.

Now, the only time I use a mint snus is after I brush my teeth or to review a new product. The only flavored snuses I have in any kind of regular rotation are my lovely Flader and Phantom Blue (White Portion) which is my unique/flavor snus.

But other than that - 95% of the time it's traditional (bergamot)/unflavored snuses like General/Grov/etc.

It's interesting how that works out and tastes do change and develop the longer you use snus.

I feel the exact same way man. I started with the mints too and now it's all about the natural flavors. Lol

I started with naturals and still am there. Mints and wintergreen are a nice change up but I shoot for traditional flavors.

Chad, same story with me. In the beginning I wanted all mint all the time. The traditional flavors were either too boring or nasty. Case in point Ettan. When I first tried Ettan from my first order I though it was boring as hell. It isn't that I didn't like it it just was so bland. I remembered the saying on here "revisit it your tastes will change" yada yada and its true. I tried it a couple months after now it's one of my favorites. Now I'm mainly using flavors where the tobacco is more pronounced. Granted I do love my flavors every now and again for a change up. Same thing with snuff. I'm more towards the tobacco like HDT and grunt.

I always leaned toward flavored ones and, now, it's almost all I use. Probably had something to do with me being a Menthol guy back when i smoked. Originals just don't do it for me on a regular basis.

probably as the habit develops you feel the need of more "tobaccoish" flavors ....

            same here...

I do love peach and flavored dip though :^)

and enjoy a lot berry, licorice and bergamot in snus... coffee/vanilla..

I was never that taken with flavoured snus. My first snus was general mint, and I've never had it since. The only flavoured snus I've bought since then was a half roll of Julesnus, 4 cans of which I sold; and some Thunder Frosted because I fancied trying something minty again, and I'm not really enjoying it because of the mint flavour.

I can't see me ever buying a flavoured snus again, tbh. I don't really see the point of them.

                My

                Variety, sir .... variety.

Otherwise it's like eating one food at a time without varying even the seasoning.

Kinda makes for a blander world.

I started with traditional-flavored snus (Nick & Johnny, Skruf) and never delved into the flavored varieties, except for General Mint, which was intolerable after two portions.

I'm sorry, Eric. Are you implying that there are no flavored LOS?

'Cause I just found a number of them at getsnus.

Just a thought, at what point does a snus become flavored? Aside from the obvious, like mint or berry snus. To me General has as much non-tobacco flavor as Thunder Berry. (Well no that's not true because with General, at least there is a somewhat prominent tobacco flavor, which cannot be said for Berry). When I think of truly non-flavored snus, I think of Grov, Ettan, Odens, Prima Fint; the kind we are talking about here for the most part. But of course all of those have flavor enhancers of their own -- a little something to make them unique. I don't know what I'm talking about, my point is unraveling. I guess I'm just wondering if Goat Rape #2 has any less of a "flavored" character than Catch Eucalyptus or Ice Fruit.

Adding Los would add variety to a bland world of portions..... Otherwise it's like eating one food at a time without varying even the seasoning.

Adding LOS would only substitute one form factor for another, having nothing to do with plain vs flavored.

It would be like substituting a liquid food form vs eating solid food. Both can be gotten flavored or unflavored, but only the substance is different. There is nothing to say that one is better than the other ..... except for the prejudices of the end users.
