I have ordered from several forum users here, Thanks PP and the others. I have never been dinged when getting snus sent from fellow snuson member being from the states or from Europe.
I live in Edmonton, so i have no clue where in T.O to get it. My stash is running low if it wasn't i would send ya some to keep your nic levels up till the goodness arrives at your door.
I do have several orders coming in, once i get them i will let ya know and send a few tins your way. Are you just an Ettan Los man? I do have some coming by the way
Thanks for the support! Back home I am an Ettan portion (bags) man, but here, since I have to cut down on the snusing and since my wife is not here, I was planning on going to lös. I only use snus when I get back from work since at work I can not/am not allowed to use it. Learning how to use Copenhagan as snus, hence under the upper lip was something of a pain, but as they say, desperation is the mother of all inventions.
Let me know if you have some cans over, I'll be happy to help you get rid of them ;-)

I just received a big order from Northerner, that is shared with another member here, when I placed the order I warned the other member that if it is caught by the Nazis we are basically screwed, lol, and it arrived without anything, just PMed him telling him the good news

You are better off ordering direct and taking the chance that the package is not caught, plus having your wife there is a big plus.

The big and only issue here is Canada post and Customs, it is legal here but the customs are outrageous that's all, you can order whatever snus you want to Canada there are no restrictions. I think what happened with your package is an isolated instance, never had that we me and I have been sending/receiving shipments for years now never anything like you reported, that is why I say it is a very rare thing to happen, would be more safe to use FedEx or DHL from Sweden to Ontario? Northerner and other merchants use Swedish post and until now it is very reliable

Now they are selling for that price as you have also to factor in the shop overhead, looks like they are making a 2-3$ on each and maybe more.

We talked about using FedEx or UPS but the price is outrageous if you're not a company, we are both normal people with normal salary's hence it would be to costly to send like that.have had 50-50 success rate until now. Was charged 30$ a week ago for a reminder of a partial order, the first part passed thru, no customs, then the three cans which came in a small bubble envelope was taxed and how much you think? they charged 30$, paid it of course and now disputing the charges, should have been 13$ only, now a tug and pull game between me and customs, mailing and so on, lets see, still waiting on a 2 months old claim, have been playing by mail and nothing yet, so as you can see, it is a chance game, you pray that it is not caught by customs, if it is, you pay first then dispute, welcome to Canada lol
If I was in your situation, I would get my wife to buy it, even if she can buy rolls because of the price difference, then send in maybe 5-6 cans a time, in a bubble envelope, declare it as snus, make her write it in small letter hardly readable, so you are (both) legally covered, and put a value of 10$ max, then pray day and nightgood luck

I called Walper Tobacconist today and asked why there was a price difference between the the General Classic at $11.72 a can and the General Mint and Smooth at $9.29 , the fellow said it was because the Classic General was 1g portions and the others were Minis , I also asked what company was his distributor for the Snus and he informed me it was Rothmans Benson and Hedges Canada . I won't be ordering from Walper anytime soon I'd rather roll the dice with the Snus straight from Sweden .

Snus in Canada.
Hi guys,
I live in Alberta and have been snusing for 5 years. I’ve been ordering all my Snus from Buysnus and the service has been excellent.
It does seem however that when the packages arrive, Canada post throws a dart at a board to determine the amount of duty that I should pay.
The packages are always the same : 5 tins per envelope but the duty varies from as low as $8 to a high of $130 or anything in between.
How are you guys making out with customs…are your stories similar or do you have any tips on how to avoid the fees?
Thank you,
Mark.

Wow, $130 for 5 tins? I've been ordering online for a little over a year and the packages that have been charged customs have all been quite close. It is now around $30 give or take a couple of bucks for a package of 5 ever since customs upped their "Handling Fee" to $9.95. I think the small fluctuation may be due to currency exchange rates but not 100% sure. I am in Ontario so perhaps my packages are processed in a different location than yours.

Price per tin (ie: package 50g or less) has almost doubled. I just bought two rolls plus six tins (26 total) and my tax bill was $183!

Ouch! That's gotta hurt.
