    Empty LD cans

I had a terrible experience today. I bought ten cans of LD, and ten cans of Thunder Wintergreen at a tobacco store in Sweden, and when I came home today, I found that all the LD cans were empty!

I've sent the store an e-mail. Hopefully I'll get my money back, or new snus in the mail.

Couldn't you feel the weight difference? A roll of air should be noticeably light.

Haha, it's the kind of store where all the snus is behind the counter, and the guy there packed my bags. I bought some chips as well, so I thought everything was fine.

EDIT: The guy should have noticed it, but he didn't....

That's really strange. I hope they fix you up. That would suck losing out on a roll of snus, especially considering the prices.

Wow, never had that happen to me yet (thankfully) Guess it was an error at the factory or there's a snus thief on the loose there

Hope they fix that for you.

Yeah, I hope that as well. If only one or two of the cans was like that, I wouldn't complain, but when they all are... F*ck!

All the cans was sealed as well.

Were the cans sealed? If they were, it would be the manufacturer's fault, but if they were opened by someone in the store and resold, the retailer would be liable. Sorry for the poor experience.

They were sealed. I don't know about the Swedish laws, but in Norway, the retailer is responsible for their customers. They have to pay me my money, and then go to the manufacter for their money. I think that's the case in Sweden too.

That makes sense. The retailer should provide you with a replacement roll and get a monetary reimbursement from Gallaher. I have never heard of empty sealed snus cans before; talk about quality control issues!

Yeah! I don't think Swedish Match would've sold empty snus cans. I hope they will give me a new roll. My problem is that I live one hour away from the store, and it costs me 100 NOK one way for a bus ticket, and importing snus trough mail is illegal in Norway. So, my only hope is that the Swedish store sends me my snus and mark it as candy, or just transfer money to my bank account.

I noticed another thing - the cans doesn't have best before dates.

I heard there's a scam where people buy cigarettes then before paying say they don't want them and then hand back an empty pack, then someone buy them and finds out. DONT OPEN THE REST OF THE CANS and maybe e-mail JTI.

Did you pay with a credit card? If so, and you get no satisfaction within a reasonable amount of time, contact the CC company and have them handle it. There are more than one way to skin a cat.

Since they're empty they should be good forever!! :^)
