Good evening gentlemen. I've had a damned busy day so I apologise for not taking part in todays discussions.

I'd like to thank all the major snus companies in a big way for their support at snuson.

I've been extremely angry about this ban. People at snuson - Brussels is a dictatorship. You cannot ban things without warning people or giving reason. What is worse - a lot of people at Brussels are unelected. This is not democratic and when an organisation is not democratic either by the way the employ their members or the way that decisions are made, they have no right whatsoever to be in power.
As you know I sent a letter to the London branch of the United Kingdom Independence Party. They have forwarded this to Nigel Farage himself. Nigel is an elected member of the European Parliament and despises that organisation. Here is the reply:

          Dear Paul *****

Thank you for your email. It won't be long before Brussels bans smoking all together... Give them time, it's just in the nature of the beast. I am forwarding your email to Nigel Farage (UKIP Leader) and to Paul Nuttal MEP. I am sure that they will wish to respond.

          Best wishes

              that made me tingle.

but it isn't the EU that is the reason for this 'ban' (which isn't a ban, it turns out its a temporary thing....probably)

This is to do with EU trade so therefore it belongs to Brussels. I don't think that this is temporary.

It's seems that Swedish Match told the retailers to hold off, although the situation is still fuzzy.

But good job though, hopefully Swedish snus will get a new voice in the EU gov't

Nigel Farage is awesome, he's got a nice pair of lung on him too. I heard a pretty epic rant from him about something one time that made me remember his name. (If I am thinking about the right guy anyways). He's also the one that's really against global warming isn't he?

I've just had time to scribble another letter.

                                Dear David,

Thank you for your response and thank you for forwarding my e-mail to Nigel. He's a man I have enormous respect for, and the party he leads.

No reason for banning the sale of snus throughout Europe has appeared today. It is unclear whether this is a customs issue, a Swedish issue or a company issue. Nonetheless trade in snus has been stopped within the EU - a totalitarian decision was made. This has affected a considerable amount of people that use this product as a safer alternative to smoking and they were given no warning or reason.
I suspect that Brussels have something to do with this and if they don't, they should sort it out as it's EU trade and it's a 'biggy' for a lot of people.

Thank you very much for your support. You have mine.

                                Yours sincerely
                                Paul *****
