No More EU To EU Snus Sales! (EU Members Please Read!)

I checked with customs on the phone yesterday and published on the UK custom site are the following quantities of tobacco that can be brought back from another EU country

3200 cigarettes
200 cigars
400 cigarillos &
3kg of tobacco.

Anyhow every chill. I will be in sweden in few weeks. I will be coming back with 3KG of snus and If i bring more I will just pay the import duty.

How come when I talk to customs I get all the village idiots and when you talk to them you get the only one in the whole place that knows their job?

I think everyone selling snus from anywhere in the world should write "oral tobacco" INSTEAD of snus... (all snus manufacturers should write ORAL TOBACCO)

because that's what it is ... ORAL TOBACCO.....

and if anyone complains...... tell them it's american dip tobacco......

now they would probably try to ban dip as well, that's when I will be moving to US !

That's no good for shipments from US to UK, because oral (chewing) tobacco comes under the Tobacco Duty Act, snus doesn't. We don't want to stung with an unnecessary tax!

in Romania we pay tax on every kind of tobacco that comes from the US that is above $50 of value. (that's what I was told)

however last time the package from US was 900 grams and it didn't need custom verification anymore... and they didn't tax it either.... shall wait and see

got a dozens packages that should be arriving from US and Sweden in the following week...................

I wouldn't expect hmrc to know shit, in fact, I wouldn't expect anyone, except for someone from Swedish Match (or other manufacturer) or the Northerner (or other retailer) to know anything, and I would definitely take vague statements like "illegal since January", with nothing to back them up, with a grain of salt.

Frosted if you remember what have i told you before about Swedish outhoritys it is right. The low was inplamanted in 1994 the only thing changed sincr then it is word "Export" to "Exit" and it was in 1998 .I have talk to one of the chefs in Tax Authoritys, one of chefs on exportrådet which means Export sugestion is that same thing, custom same thing now We understand you are frustrated but brother if you leave us then it is meaning that We could't help you do you want that We at GN Will fil like that?

GN - you're our lifeline here and you're essential. Snus is very important in my life which is why I get pretty angry about these things.

I'm just pissed off that I've let the lads of the site down with (unintentionally) false information.

I will however take a back seat as far as trying to be pro-active is concerned from now on. The big boys have to sort this one out.
