I have found that I use an LD Salmiak mini portions can and just put in various portions from my fridge so I can carry them to work in my pocket. Curious if other people have this tradition to have a day can to tote to work.

I worry about flavor-mingling and usually just throw 2 or three different cans from my fridge (I keep 6 open at a time), into my pockets. It's a bit much. I usually like a strong portion first thing in the morning with my coffee (currently that's a N&J), then I've usually got a can of Regular or mini portions, in case I have meetings or to snus during my afternoon ping-pong game. Then I've got a can of los for when I'm alone at my desk or knee-deep in a exchange server..

I do this....Usually old General / Grov cans........I find that I use the portion disposal lid quite a bit these days so I prefer using them to the Gotlands cans....
During the week at work I use the old General mini cans as they are easier to hide in a suit pocket but still accomodate at least 4 portions
I don't mix my snus though....I usually just pick whatever I am in the mood for on the day......

I take about 6 cans of snus with me to work and keep them in a cooler. If I'm going to be far from the truck for awhile, I take a portion tin with an ashtray lid, and put an additional flavor in there to travel with. When it starts getting hot I'll probably use a mini tin and put a couple of 1 flavor in the main compartment, and a additional one in the lid. That way the heat exposure will be minimized, and a whole can won't get heated up.

I bought an icetool loose box and was very disappointed. I currently use old LS tins for my loose rather. I don't have to worry about the lid popping off in my pocket. For portioned nights, I have bought a cheap little pill box about the size of a matchbox. It fits six perfectly and I don't have to hang out with my lady's friends with what looks like a can of dip in my pocket. I use an old diplomat tin for ettan and a taboca tin for RL. When they're done, I'll us LS exclusively. The plastic is perfect for packing the icetool on the bottom. It slides around. I love it.

I love em. Been through 3 rolls of original and 1 of the mini whites. It's the only portion snus I use.
I haven't thrown away a single LS tin yet. Use them for loose change at work, I keep my car icetool in a white mini tin. And like I said, the loose stays well, and the plastic works better for me than even the metal of the other tins I use.
I pack the icetool with the bottom of the tin, so Ettan, RL and General being my favorite loose, all have wax bottoms. This way I don't have to worry about messing with the wax/cardboard. Whatever works, you know.

I just store it in an old empty one. That way I don't lose it in the many crevices a car has. But if you're asking if I pack the icetool on the bottom, yes.
I think most guys do this, but I load the IT then press it against the bottom of the tin. This compresses it obviously and removes a lot of the air in the pris. Either the bottom, or with my thumb on the waxy ones.

Ah, gotcha, somehow I got the impression that you were carrying around your icetool buried in a container of loose snus. Or maybe had somehow configured a compartment of some sort.
I use a prismaster right now (will be getting an icetool with my next order) and I pack it pretty firmly against the bottom or the can (usually with the can resting on my desk/counter/whatever), makes a nice firm pris that doesn't get mushy too easily.
