    Skoal Snus 2011

I just got some skoal mild milt snus....it seems decent...does anyone know if its as safe as the swedish stuff...if it is pasteurized instead of fermented like dip...and the tsna levels?

I think it's a bit more like Swedish snus, but with more added flavor and sweeteners with less nicotine. I THINK the nicotine per portion might be 8mg but I could be wrong since I can't remember where I saw that.

I just had a smooth mint, burned my gums a bit compared to any other Swedish snus. I'd guesstimate that the moisture content is about 40% compared to the regular Swedish snus which is normally around 55%.

Skoal has said and will probably never say anything about the process and the additives. Because by law they don't have to. The FDA knows and could force them to tell people, but they don't.

I don't think it matters much, pasteurization actually increases the TSNAs slightly. That said Skoal snus isn't exactly great and I'd rather pay a premium for Jakobson's mint over Skoal based off the pouch of mint I had. How it's produced I have no idea you can try calling U.S. Smokeless.
