OK, I've seen some comments about the various licorice snus but it would be nice if everyone could weigh in on which one they like the best, portion & loose (Gotlands, LD, catch, etc..). I've tried the offroad lakrits portions but did not like them. thanks.

LD Black is my favorite licorice portion, and Offroad lös my favorite lös. Gotland Grå I like equally well, but it's not quite licorice. It has an herbal anis flavor that isn't as dessert-like as the previous mentions. If I could only have one, it would be the Gotland cause it's more versatile, but the pure licorice is nice every so often. Keep in mind Americans can't get LD anymore, so it's Offroad lös for licorice flavor for me. -
LD Black--if you ever get a chance to try it--is simply the best licorice portion ever made...and quite possibly the most comfortable (black) portion I've ever tried before. Coming from a huge fan of licorice myself, I would rank the brands like this:
LD Black >> Gotland Grå > Offroad White/OP > Oden's licorice (it's been a while since I've had it...the memories are a little fuzzy) > Catch licorice
lxskllr is right--while most of the other brands are pretty much a purely licorice flavor, the Gotland's offering has more of a subtle, subdued flavor than the rest. It's not in-your-face, but some people might prefer that over some of the stronger ones. The quality of the tobacco that they use is very good compared to the rest, IMO, so I don't mind it from time to time.Comment

I've only tried Gotland's, Oden's, LD black and Granit's.
I prefer the Granit Special Whites because of how subtle the licorice taste is. Also, it has a tasty salt flavor mixed in (moreso than usual).

I've only tried Oden's Lakrits and didn't like it, but I don't think it was anything to do with the brand, just my aversion to flavoured snus.Comment
