Ettan Snuff

Likely an accurate guess Mr. D. but the confusing marketing may well provide sales results for SM that are not reality based. Dippers ignorant of snus, by far the majority, are likely to reject the product since it is not designed to act in the same way as Cope/Grizzly/Longhorn etc. etc. I bow to no one in my liking of Ettan, los especially, and will attempt to clean out any of these new racks that appear on these barren and parlous shores but the typical lower lipper will have little reason not to assume that Ettan is just another dip brand with a funny furrin' name.

I think they are calling it snuff because that is English for snus and it's a product for the American market. Just a guess though.

I've been thinking about this, I've already said that I don't like the idea of rebranding it...BUT if they call it snuff and put it on the "dip" wall and then have their general fridge full of snus they cover two bases. snuff/dip and also the up and coming category snus. Maybe they're thinking...if they can't beat them...join them. Or they're thinking..make money in both categories. I still don't like the bastardization of an already successful product like Ettan. Yeah, yeah...I know the word snus means snuff...but they've been preaching "snus" for so long and then BAM now they're coming out with their very own "Swedish snuff"...talk about confusing. I'll bet their salespeople shit themselves when they saw this, lol

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that pretty much anyone who has bought a tobacco product in an American convenience store or gas station in the last year has ben exposed to, seen or been handed for free some "SNHUSS" whether they wanted it or not. Tobacco users (especially Camel and Marlboro) see it and around here Camel dip is right near the dip. The signs are on the door.

Snus needs a spokesperson. Someone to explain it and make it sexy. General needs to pay for a product placement in the next Brad Pitt movie......or have some hot chick use it in a movie.

Smoking isn't cool....until you watch some actor being cool as sh!t with a cigarette hanging from their lip as they set off a giant chain reaction explosion, quip a witty line and get the girl.

Snus isn't sexy to the public. Hell I'd shave my butt and snus in a thong on the evening news if I thought it would help.....as I am one sexy bitch.

So IT'S HERE woo hoo! Stopped by the Getgo after work (yes I get of work at 10Am) and the Ettan fridge was on the counter FULL of Ettan los and portion also free prismastrer with los cans so I got a tin of each. Tried potion first very mild very approachable I see why people say its a starter snuns. Gave it 45 min and then loaded the prismaster 3/4 full and put it in. I can see my self loading in a large pris of this after work most every day the los is great.
