    TSNA Level Chart

    Hey.. I found this chart online and I now how everybody loves to go thru the science so here is a little something to chew on. I have no idea what it means so I am not trying to make any point. I thought I would throw it up on here and let some of the experts have at it...

    I found it intresting that the "Swedish Snus" had higher TSNA levels than I would have thought.. Of course, I understand that it does not state what "Swedish Snus" they used but it was a study for harm reduction so I don't think they were out to get Snus... The link for the study is below...

    The concentrations here represent nanograms (ng) of toxin detected in 1 ruyan 16-mg multidose
    cartridge (which contains approximately 1gm of e-liquid). They are compared to the
    amount of toxin contained in approximately one tobacco cigarette (approximately 1gm of
    tobacco) or one unit of nicotine replacement product.
    Abbreviations: NNN=4-(methylnitrosamino)-1-(3-pyridyl)-1-butanone; NNK=N0-nitrosonornicotine;
    NAT=N0-nitrosoanatabine; NAB=N0-nitrosoanabasine.
    ND=Not detected.

      Not from what I can tell.. The only ones with decimals are the Patch and Gum... Also, ND stands for Non detectable I think...

      Sorry about the formating but the real chart is in the link....

          I'd have to dig up another chart, but I think you're on the right track wolf, This is listed in nanograms, and I'm betting the typical study measures in micrograms. I'm guessing they went down to a lower measurement to make the ecig/pharma numbers more relevant. They have almost none which would be expected, and the numbers for tobacco are comparatively high since they're actually tobacco.

          Edit:
          confirmed. I found a mention of Ettan having 2.8µg/g

            Just so you know even with American dip having higher tsna's than Snus there has been found in recent scientific studies that neither dip or Snus causes oral cancer now.
