What average price do you pay for a can of snus?

I noticed a lot of people talking about the cost of a can of snus. I suppose it may be quite high because of taxes. I purchase Knox, Ettan, Probe, Got., Skruf, LD, some Offroad and the average price after shipping is about $3 per tin. This is by ordering individual tins, not rolls. I think it is a pretty good price since Skoal (U.S. "Tobacco") cost about $4 a can (mind you I can get Longhorn for $1.50). Do others have to pay a lot more?....What are the taxes on snus in other areas of the world? What is your cost per can?

I guess my per tin is about the same as yours. A lot of the snus I prefer is the cheap stuff like Landstrom, Gellivare, Knox. I also like Gotlands gray and yellow and Ettan, still I would say that around $3 per is about on the mark. I'm in the US and buy from northerner.

Yeah I'm about $4 per can too, including shipping. I've tried Offroad Long Cut, which I disliked and gave away to a dipper, and the Phantom Blue that came free. It's sort of OK, but not a keeper either.

I would say about 3 dollars a tin. Maybe a little more depending on what I order. Some of my favorites are on the cheaper side so thats good. I have kinda been liking the tobacco bits lately though like the oliver twist. I go run every morning and those work perfect for when I run and in the shower since a regular los snus in the shower just doesnt work. Now oliver twists are like 4.50 a tin so that can make it a bit more spendy

$10-11 is the standard price in Norway, it's more expensive than from the internetz, but it's cheaper than getting it through customs. And buysnus and other sites mark with the exact contents, so they spot it pretty easily. Which makes me a bit sad. I'd like to order cheap snus too. Oh well, I can manage 11 bucks every now and again.

I pay about $5.50 per can, calculated from my last order of a mix of Ettan, Grov, General Onx, Gotland, etc. , including shipping and taxes. The problem with swiss customs is that they calculate the taxes on base of gross weight (including tin and package weight) not only on net snus weight :x . So ordering snus in metal tins is quite expensive. I'm glad that my favorites come in plastic or cardboard tins.

Couldn't you just have a friend from the nearest tax-free country buy 1-2 months worth of snus at a time then ship it to you with the cheapest method available?

I pay about $4.50 per tin, including shipping. I know I could do cheaper by ordering rolls, but I worry that our customs people would tax a roll. I buy about 5-6 cans at a time and haven't had any customs troubles.

I typically order about 20 cans at a time and average out to about $3.75-4.00 a can. sometimes more if I have some random loose cans in the mix.

I have been meaning to post something like this for a while. It seems that many if not most of the folks hear are x-smokers. I applaud you all in your efforts to become smoke free. However, I have come to snus by a different rout and so I want to share my experiences with all those x-dippers who may be looking at this site for suggestions and direction to get started.
