Northerner survey Snus #3

Anyone tried this one yet?
Just got my order from UPS and that is the one I got.
I haven't had a chance to try it yet but I will as soon as I get done with my supper break and go back to work.

I got #5 last week. Smells like Copenhagen. But has no taste. It's a white portion. Once you spit it out you get a strong "grease" film on the gum. Not. Good.

I've had this portion in for about 30 minutes now. Full review and pictures coming when I get off in about 5 hours.

The package. Just your typical foil/mylar type resealable containing 10 portion with the number "3" printed on it. Looks like the others posted here.

After opening the bag and taking a sniff I smelled something familiar but couldn't put my finger on it at first. After a few more sniffs it hit me, Juicy Fruit gum with a hint of Mint. It reminded me a lot of Jakobsson's Ice Fruit, but I thought this smelled better.

The portion that I pulled was a white portion, but it didn't feel as dry as a normal white portion so that told me that the tobacco inside was very moist, which is nice. I took the portion and easily broke it open with my fingers. Dumping the tobacco out I could see I was right, it was a very dark, moist tobacco that I was easily able to make a mini pris out of. I threw it away and took out another portion.

At 8:30 pm I popped a portion in my mouth over to the right side. At 8:40 pm I felt my first small drip slide down and I began to taste the snus. My initial impression was that it tasted exactly like Juicy Fruit gum with a slight Mint taste and a slight undertone of pepper. After the initial drip, nothing, no more drips, nothing. I keep hitting it with my tongue and coming away with the same taste, but muted. I would even get a mouthful of saliva and put it up where the snus was in an attempt to make it juice and drip, no dice. After having it in for 40 minutes, I spat it out leaving a bitter taste in my mouth, but it did leave a nice cooling sensation against my gums. I can't say anything about the nic hit because I use mainly strong's and Oden's Extreme so I'm sure my tolerance is out of this world.

Overall this snus seems like a clone of Jakobsson's Ice Fruit but not on the same level. The only thing I can say this snus has over Ice Fruit is the smell department. I'll force myself to use the rest of the samples and see if my taste changes, and update here. If you like Ice Fruit you may like this snus, when I first started snus I enjoyed Ice Fruit for a few cans and then it turned on me where it was a struggle to finish my last can, but I recognize how popular Ice Fruit is and that it is a quality snus.

I think right now I am more curious on who is making this snus, and is it a true snus.
