Doesn't matter, it was the los I hated, not the brand. I too use electric razors, margarine over butter, and Kraft Mac & Cheese over homemade. Child of the 60s-70s, nothing was real back then.

I like the taste, not strong enough for me though. I know it has a lot of nicotine, but I don't get much from it for some reason.

The members of SnusOn are an exception to this 1:9 ratio I'd bet...but it's still 3:7 in favor of portion, maybe a little higher 4:6. You have to remember that smoker's trying to quit, generally don't want los because it's such a "foreign" idea, so they naturally gravitate to portion. I did, and it wasn't until coming here over 2yrs ago that I eventually tried los. I suspect that my experience isn't that different from other smoker's experience. That being said, a dipper is certainly more prone to trying los from the beginning, but the number of dippers switching to snus is far lower than the number of smokers switching to snus. Can't remember where I read that, but it was a market study for the US. I'll see if I can find it later.
In Sweden We ,GN , seling 2 portion and 1 loos so Of 600 000-300 000 is loose Strange inuff))

Right there with you HK...I have a roll of Nick & Johnny Strong Portions for social situations, but loose for everything else. BTW, N&J is the only portion that I still like. For some reason, it still packs a nice punch for me...

I don't like Oden's Extreme - there - I've said it! Don't get me wrong - I love snus, I love portions and los, I love the way the extreme works for me (it's strong because it lasts so long, I find the old 17mg Extra Stark Odens kick harder than Extreme).

I just don't like the flavouring!

And it is flavoured - there is no way that is the taste of pure tobacco. I know all different varieties of tobacco taste different. But look at the ingredients on Extreme and you find "aromer" which means "flavourings". The taste of pepper everyone is talking about tastes not like black pepper to me like the taste you get in General - it tastes like green peppers to me, or maybe chili peppers. It's too vegetably for me and I don't like it.

But I still love Odens - I love the old line. I love that they sell us snus in the EU. I love that they have developed a 22mg snus. I even love the Extreme cans (great for keeping screws and nails of different sizes in - or shaving soap for travelling!)

I can't wait for the Extreme Kanel - my favourite flavour in a great format.

You do realise that there hasn't been a single post here at snuson since you wrote this?

Everybody's sphincter started twitching and they reached for the valium instead.

Lets see, do you think twitching sphincters and taking it up the bum might have chilled the room a tad? Chad?

I got your Farie dust right here!

Some body wont like it, that's just the way it is. I get a rapid heartbeat when I over do it, I have to rush to the sink and get rid of it and then lay down. I absolutely love the stuff, but there is a limit to the nic. THats why my ears perked up when I saw the review saying the black label had the taste but not the punch. I can only los half the time, and I am back to 8mg Kanel los. Only a small pinch of extreme los when reading or relaxing. Come on Mini!

Oh yes, I'm aware of the fact that in Sweden, the percentage of los users is much higher than here in the US. I suspect that in time, it will also increase here in the US, but that won't happen for quite some time I'm afraid. The stigma of loose tobacco use here in the US has gone a long way to ensure that general public will look at los users as stupid or redneck...which is sad and inaccurate. Maybe when Swedish snus is more widely accepted as "normal & safer" more people will be willing to try los. Until then....MORE FOR ME ;-)

I've already said it in another thread but to answer to the question I still can't enjoy Extreme. I've tried the portion snus, only maybe 5 or 6 portions and I'm still not into it.

I don't know how to explain it but the taste is missing for me. I can taste something like chocolat in the beginning but after the first minutes the taste is way too soft or simply isn't there. What I've said makes any sense?
But then again I've learned that with snus everything changes with time. I love General, Ettan and Grov black. All the other open cans I have is just to change to a different taste once in a while.

I find, the peppery burning sensation disappears after around 45 minutes, just as the nicotine level starts to peak. The tobacco flavour then comes through in mellow yet very satisfying mouthgasm of sheer bliss.

It goes well with gin. Extreme is my new los.....

The portions I will reevaluate as I have a fresh can due to the awesomeness of a member here I shall not name (as requested)....but they know who they are. And they are awesome.
