    V2 and Quality Control

    ~~
I'll start with the fact that V2 tobacco makes up a good 85% or so of my snus consumption.

That being said: How is their QC still so bad?

I remember the problems when Thunder first came out and thought it was all in the past. But no. My most recent order frustrated me. I opened my first can of Frosted+ to find pouches so thin and empty, it just looked like a strip of litmus paper. 2nd was a little better, but still under-filled compared to what I've been getting from them. My first can of WG i opened was also very thin and not full.

How does this stuff still have these kinds of problems?

i dont think they actually have any QC i order alot of the snus-x make yer own snus and thats always has loads of half empty bags and unsealed bags by the time your half way thru the bottom of the bucket is loaded with loose snus
im beginning to honestly think the snus-x bucket was created to clear out the faulty portions from the factory

Must have a lot then, cause they're packing them in cans too! :P hehe

I'm surprised I'm the only one that's been getting this. I hope that's the case and it's a fluke, but it still pisses me off considering how much it costs to ship now.

        Just as an update:

I contacted V2 about this via their website and in no more than 2 days, they mailed me back. They told me about their QC (they weigh every can they say), apologized for the product, and offered to send me some free cans to make up for it!

Customer Service: Just another reason V2 is, and will be, a force in the industry for a long time.

Glad to see they set things right!! I would have figured they would, but it is good to see. I had one can of frosted longs once that was a little iffy. Some of the portions were packed so full they were busting open, while the others were paper thin. But I figure one bad can out of the hundreds I have bought from them is no biggie at all, so I just finished the can and my next was fine.

I'd say one in every 8 cans of V2 products are busted open. That's just a personal number based on my experience. I believe that number to be too high. If another company made sterk mini's I wouldn't even order V2 products at all.

THe only problems I have ever had were with freshness (battery acid syndrome) in the Offroad Longcut coming from the US Northerner/GetSnus warehouse.

I do notice some inconsistencies. For example, my opened can of Long+ seemed underfilled, but my can of Offroad Frosted portions were so plump it made my lip stick out quite a bit.

Yeah, the Frosted+ was the ones I had a problem with. I've gone through 5 cans out of the roll so far and most of the portions are so thin, I slap 2 together and use it like that. They say they have a +/- 5% on the weight of the cans, but I can only assume they only check that every however-many cans. It's pretty easy to notice when you open a can and they're all smushed together on one side and it only fills half the can.

I never have problems with V2 los. I did order a roll of the Thunder Coola when it first came out and while none of the portions were broken open (at least in the first 5 cans), many of the them were quite thin leading me to double-barrel most of the time.

With all of these reports of "seemingly" skimpy portions, and the reports from V2 that they only tolerate +/- 5% on weight, I am inclined to believe that the issues lies not with quality control, but with the makeup of the snus itself. Perhaps the tobacco packs more firmly in these portions than with other brands. Fluffing the portions before putting them in does seem to help.

I have also posted about this same exact thing months before.. It will not change, thus I do not use V2 products anymore.

I just wanted to add closure to this thread by saying that I have received my 'apology' package from V2. Even though I only complained about the 1 roll I had, they sent me:

                        1 roll of Frosted Long+
                        2 rolls of Frosted ES

Needless to say, i nearly shit myself. All Hail V2!

                          Congrats.
V2 does have some slacky portions, but they're not the only brand...

I have my first complaint about snus..I have a few rolls of thunder myself and was very happy with the frosted.. Nice plump packets of love..

Today, I busted into my thunder berry and was like what the hell happened here? So, I opened up another can and it was even worse.. The packets were deflated and some were opened.. I took the weakest looking one and threw it on the digi scale and it came back weighing .23 grams.. The rest aren't much better and I am pretty disappointed..

Don't get me wrong here.. I love V2's products but I am one who expects to get what I pay for so this is a little disappointing..

                            Peace

How much does the whole can weigh, minus the tin of course. It would be interesting to weigh an empty pouch, multiply it by the number of pouches, then deduct that from the total.
