Wow! the famous "Jimbo"! Nice to finally meet you. I remember a post some time ago where Zero had mentioned that he wished you could see how much Gotlands is loved here these days!.

        Hey Jim,

Welcome to the forum, great to have you here

My only problem with Gotlands is the nicotine delivery... I may be on my own with this, but it just doesn't seem to cut it the same as General/Skruf etc. do.

For instance, I have been using Got's Yellow portion all week... Knox arrived today and it is *noticeably* more potent, even after just 15 minutes of having the portion in I'm all subdue with the nicotine high.

I'm sure the tobacco you guys use is probably better quality than the larger manufacturers but perhaps there is something different in your manufacturing process which changes the rate of delivery?

I'd be interested to hear if any other forum members experience the same on this or if I'm imagining it?

        Peace!

We have about 1mg nicotine in our snus General has about 0.8mg.

the thing about snus is that it´s not so much the level of nicotine but it´s al about the natriumcarbonaite. if the ph level is high you can get really dizzy..
why the rest of the snus manufacturs have an high level of ph is because the want you to have an fast delivery of nicotine not an slow and nice kick.

this they do to get more people addictive to their product.

we want our custumers to have a nice feeling under the lip and not get any wound.

try to sleep whith any snus one night and feel the difference between "snus" and "Gotlandssnus"

and the fact that we don´t use any smoke flavers is also for the cunsumers best "low level of tsna"

hope i answer´d your quetion

            Welcome back, Jimbo!

You really did us all a big favor with your raving about Gotlandssnus. The stuff really is that good!

But I wouldn't say that the other brands are all so much worse. You can find brands from other manufacturers with similar qualities regarding nicotine-delivery and easiness on the gums.

Nevertheless, just keep on the good work!

            Cheers!

No way!  Well, let me be the first to congratulate you at getting a job with a company you clearly love!

Seriously, though, I remember all too well your lavish praise of Gotlandssnus. At the time I had only tried the green portions and wasn't greatly amazed, but after trying Gul loose and loving it I really wished I had taken your words to heart sooner, haha.

Good to hear! I actually had a dream last night about trying Jakobsson's ... I remember that I was utterly confused about the can which seemed to be a blue variation of the Lucky Strike can   Also, I remember liking the snus so much that I wanted to go to snuson.com and change my top5 in PP's recent thread, lol.

                      Oh well, it's good news!

LOL, dreaming ABOUT snus? I have tons of nicotine dreams but they all feature babes not snus. You may have to rearrange your priorities bud.

I can't wait to try the new snus either. But apparently not as bad as Subtilo.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

Ha ha! Guess you're right. But the dream (or was it another one?) did contain a beautiful babe + some nightswimming. And besides the fact that I was kind of scared by strange non-babe things in the water it was all good.

Why seems everybody to be so excited about the Jacobson's? What's so special with it? It's another portions snus, and...?

Because it's from the great Gotlandssnus company ;^) This snus has been eagerly awaited for quite awhile now, and it's release is imminent. I am disappointed that it'll be portion only. I'm hoping they'll release it in lös form also. Even if they did it as a special order item, it has to be easier to make it lös instead of portion.

Well, I can only answer for myself:

1: It's a new snus (and I don't really care if it's portion or lös -- I dig it all!)

2: It's a new snus from GOTLANDSSNUS (my favorite brand these days)

3: It's been so long since they first announced it that one have had good time to build up some serious expectations (which, of course, can lead to equal disapointments, but hey ... it's part of the game, right?)

4: I don't see nothing wrong with some old fashioned fandom.
