    Juicy Snus

Ok, So howcome GES portions get so DRY after like a half a day of being open?

Jaks and N&J don't do that. I prefer my snus moist. When the tobacco starts separating from the portion and gets all fluffy it's weird. Feels like putting a cotton ball in my mouth.

    Is this normal for GES?

I remember having this issue with GES also. Really couldn't tell you. General portions tend to dry out slightly faster than just about every brand I've tried. I'm using Ettan now, and I don't have this issue. I don't even keep my open cans in air tight Ziploc bags anymore; a can lasts me three days and stays moist.

Had the same problem with General Long Sterks...they dried out CRAZY fast. Happy to say it's not the case with all SM products though; my cans of N&J seem to last forever!

GES Portions only have a 45% moisture content, compared to the standard 50% of Swedish Match products. I used to love GES, but grew tired of the caustic flavor -- I now use white portions exclusively. It seems my tastes have drifted toward milder snus over the years, which is odd; most go in the opposite direction.

I never really noticed a problem with dryness of GES portions. I open a can, carry it in my pocket, and about three days later I enjoy the last portion just as much as the first. Once you toss it in your mouth the saliva moistens it anyway. Perhaps you could put a couple drops of water in the can if you think it's too dry.
