Grovsnus loose replacement

Hi all!

I'm one of the poor souls in the EU (UK) who can no longer get Grovsnus sent over due to Swedish Match refusing to sell/deliver to EU countries

According to Northener (who has supplied me before), the following brands are available for delivery to UK: Jakobssons, Gotlandssnus, Northerner purifed, Thunder, Offroad, Phantom/Rothbrix, Olde Viking, Odens, Skruf, Lucky Strike, Montecristo, Romeo Y Julieta, Tabocan, and Al Capone.

I haven't tested any of the above. Which one would you say is most similar to the classic old Grovsnus?

You can't get Pioneer? Pioneer, and Phantom/Rothbrix Brown are the closest, but not really. SM really has a lock on the smoke flavored snus.

My favourite out the lot in los is Skruf Stark los but i haven't tried Extreme los yet. Probably not the flavour you're looking for but a great great snus :-)

I'm not sure that you will find an exact match. However there are some good snus offerings in the list

Oden's Extreme has a deep rich natural tobacco flavor that is not a replica of Grov by any means but would be a great replacement. As Lx said if you can get Pioneer that too has a deep rich natural flavor very similar to Odens Extreme. Skruf has a unique flavor that is worth a try (though I feel their quality has slipped a bit over the last few years).

I never tried Lucy Strikes but I know a lot of folks here loved it. Phantom Blue and Brown are both good.

If it was me I would try a few of the non mint brands and see if I could find something I liked (verses trying to find Grov in a different looking tin).

I'd try Lucky Strike Strong Loose or Montecristo Los. Too bad you can't get Grov anymore -- it's the best.

Oh. I'm not too familiar with Montecristo, since I live in the US. I heard it has a dark, natural tobacco flavor though. Perhaps Buysnus has it?
