I foresee a problem with all these fridges in shops but I still think that to keep Nicotine from degrading and TSNA levels from rising it needs to be cooled right now.

Let's say Genaral provides their fridge and that takes up space. Then the Northener provides a fridge and etc.. These shops are not going to play that game...

I recently read an article that Swedish Match is coming out with a new can technology that eliminates the need for refrigeration so that is going to be cool..(well not cool)

    Peace...

Lack of refrigeration doesn't raise the TSNA level it makes the snus taste better though. I think some of the ph is lost in shipping snus for some reason, general white when you get it from sweden is noticeably stronger in flavor and a little more in nicotine, also the best before date goes out like 6 months if you guys didn't know that I think V2 is setting theirs too far out I got a can a year ago that said it was good for over a year pretty much anyone who buys it will know that.

LOL...now that's funny. Maybe I should contact them and tell them that Gotlands and V2 have already developed this magical technology that 'eliminates the need for refrigeration' ;-)

Is it that strange, new fangled technology called "plastics", Rick?

as for the V2 being good for almost a year. I buy roughly 50 cans of v2 products per order and have never had one go "stale" on me. I dont freeze it, hell... half the time i pull a few cans out of my fridge and leave them out for days with no change in taste. I honestly just dont buy into the whole refrigeration thing.

WHen I go down range in a couple months, I plan on taking a LOT of snus with me and it won't be refrigerated. I still have some thunder portions that I bought almost a year ago that have yet to be refrigerated. Sure, they have dried out, but a few mins on bake under the lip and they are as juicy and tasty as they were on day one.

                Just my .02

Lucky Strike used to come in hermetically sealed tins. It had a mylar seal under the lid, and I think the tech came from Rocker snus. I assume they decided it wasn't worth the extra cost, and I'd tend to agree. I haven't had issues with my snus. Mine's all frozen, but some of it is going on 4 years old. If it can go a few years frozen, a few months warm shouldn't be an issue.

I still see General for sale at my local tobacco store. Also good to see a few Thunder varieties and a couple Jak's there in the same (plugged in) fridge.

LOL...I didn't think your comment was funny bro, just the fact that SM is seeking out technology to eliminate refrigeration. Especially when the technology already exists and...awwwwww nevermind, lol
