Questions about Snus from a young former dipper.

I am 20 years old and have been using smokeless for the past couple of years. I haven't worried about the health effects until the past few weeks, when I noticed a lump in my cheek. Whether or not it is cancer, it scared the crap out of me and now I am looking for alternatives. I purchased a can of grovsnus that should be here within a week. I have two questions:

1.) How is the nicotine kick compared to dip.
2.) Is there anywhere with really low prices or free shipping because I am a college student and am used to dipping Grizzly Wintergreen at $1.75 a can.

    1) I've never used dip, so I can't say for myself, but the general sentiment here seems to be that dip is, on average, a bit stronger than snus. You might try the strong snus brands if you want more nicotine - something like Skruf Stark, Nick & Johnny, etc.

    2) Most of the prices are about the same everywhere, really. Check out www.buysnus.com , www.northerner.com , or www.snusomatic.com .

I used to dip, and it was great.

I used to dip a few years go. Skoal Berry Blend was my favorite. It tasted good and had a massive kick in it. Now I use Nick & Jonny Stark and I love this stuff, it has the highest kick of all. Put in 3 N&J Stark after a morning coffee and viola.

To the best of my knowledge, BuySnus.com has an affiliate program that will help you get discounts.

Nicotine: I switched from dipping Longhorn straight to snusing and I still frequently get a mild nicotine overdose from Skruf stark portions(sometimes just 1 portion) or 2 portions of regular strength snus.

Cost: When I dipped I went through a can or more a day at about $1.50-2.00 a can compared to going through 2 cans of portion snus a week at $3.50 a can. I'm actually saving a little money by switching from dip to snus.

For some reason I had a terrible time trying to find this post so I worte another one talking about my experience thus far. I did go ahead and get a can of grovsnus loose because the description said that it had a coarser grind than other snus. Sadly my experience with this brand wasn't all that great. I will continue to try new brands until I find one that suits me. Anyway...thanks for the replies and the information about the affiliate program.

Yeah grizzly wintergreen is a 1.2 oz can, which is only 34g - compare that to a tin of snus which is 45-50g and you're getting about 30% more snus in a tin compared to Grizzly. Do the math and that's $1.75 x 1.32 = $2.31 -- the price to beat for snus. If you look at the budget snus like Granit, Knox, LD, Kronan, Phantom, Offroad, etc, you can get them from BuySnus at between $1.89 (Phantom) - $2.76 (Kronan) a tin. That makes LD, Phantom, and Knox cheaper by weight (at least to US customers) than Grizzly and the others pretty darn close.
