Has anyone quit snus with snuff?

My stash is slowly dwindling. I'm thinking about giving up the snus. My vinyl record collecting has taken my tobacco funds, so I can't really afford two habits. Has anyone quit snus with only using snuff? I have enough snuff to last like 5 years, and it's cheaper.

I think Spirit72 did. I also think I could, but I don't really want to. Like like both, but snus is my preference.

Looks like you could try to go through with it and report your progress (or lack of progress) here at SnusOn.

      Sounds like a plan!!

Yea, I love the snus, and maybe if I get a permanent job, it would be different. I'm thinking about trying it out. I still have enough snus to last at least a year, so it's not too big a deal. I'm just running out of some varieties that I use once in awhile.

I don't think I'll ever quit snus. I enjoy it way too much, and it's pretty much my number one hobby - between discussing it here and the growth of my website. I'm probably a life-r.

Good luck though. I'm sure it could be done.

Give it a shot, and see how you make out. Have snusfree days, or just snus in the morning, and evening, but snuff through the bulk of the day.

That sounds like a good plan.

I used snuff when I didn't have any snus for a while.

I used a lot of snuff

I go through spells where I won't touch snuff for months, and then I'll be a fiend. Mostly use it in the colder months.

I've found that the warm higher humidity tends to discourage me from snuffing up a storm... I've cut back my usage to 2 or 3 times a day.

Just as with smokes, save the snus and treat yourself to it occasionally.
Total deprivation generally leads to total failure!!

Yea, but if I fail, I won't feel too bad, it's only snus! And I quit smokes for over a year. Not one puff! I have had one recently though, but it didn't make me want to go back. I much prefer snus over cigs now. Cigs just feel and taste alien now.

                            I collect vinyl too...

I tried to quit snus for nasal snuff but it was a disaster. But saying that, i'd never been one that too took much nasal snuff to start with.

The reason i quit snus was so i didn't have to rely on a fridge/freezer when travelling but... well, i'll have to find a way of using snus still.

                            Good luck.

I did completely for about a year. I made a pretty good order from Northerner back in March just because I had the hankering for it, and just finished it last week. Might make another one next month. Basically, now that I've figured out how I need to handle both, I go back and forth. Sometimes I'd rather snuff, sometimes like this past week I'd rather snus. But I keep em both around.
