I thought it would fun for the seasoned, and helpful for the newbs out there, to start a series of polls in-which two brands of similar snus are paired head to head in a gritty battle for glory and snuspremacy. With each vote, please include your reasons for your ballot selection.
For the first in the series, I wanted to choose two brands that I see compared to one another often in the threads. I know each has their die-hard following and for good reason. I have grown very fond of both... so my vote is not going to be an easy one.
On one hand, you have the CLASSIC flavor of Ettan, which has stood the test of time. Mellow and lightly salted... slight hint of cocoa in the background... delish for sure! Bakes with complete ease (if that's your thing) and is super newb friendly for that reason, but with a flavor that can only be truely appreciated by those converted to lös long enough to recognize the small nuances in flavor.
On the other hand, there is the straight-forward tobacco taste of Grov with that smokey goodness mixed in. I personally prefer the cut of Grov and find it has less creeping as the snus-session progresses into the 30 - 45 minute mark. Although the flavor may be a little to heavy for chain snusing, it is definitely one I love...
All that being said, I think I have to cast my weary vote to Ettan. It was the first lös I tried, and the one can I returned to with frequency. I love my Grov, but history wins out this time.
