Thanks Rick - there is hope for the future and I owe you a drink. Just tell them to stick it in a plastic bag and don't worry about the cans!

      That is GREAT NEWS

I for one love both Gellivare and Landstroms.

They are a little harder to work with....................but so worth it.

and lx I know what you mean about Granit..............I like it................but to me the PH seems too high (which in turn throws the flavor off a bit)...............guess they are augmenting a lower grade leaf
When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

You're the man Rick! The plastic bag is actually a pretty good idea. I bet there's a few people that would buy the snus if it were packaged in scavenged packaging. Put it in used margarine tubs or something. That would be ideal for selling through the SnusOn site. We already know what the snus is about, so pretty packaging isn't a big deal.

What don't you like about Gellivare snus? The grind is a bit of a PITA, but the taste is first rate. It's real snus as was made in the beginning. Ljunglöf would probably recognize Gellivare as snus before he would modern Ettan :^D

It's just too expensive. I'll get away with it for as long as I can cause I don't want to have to go back to smokes, or start using dip on a regular basis. I've tried quitting smoking a good 6 times. And those were all very serious attempts, but couldn't break them until I found snus. If the government isn't concerned about my health, then they can go screw themselves.

I hear you. It''s nuts up here in the northland. It's easy to say you're going to pay the tax if it's a few cents a can. It's another story when you're paying a few dollars a can. With the high prices at Northerner, add the state taxes plus shipping and it gets out of hand real quick. I did notice there are no shops in Wisconsin that Rick is connected up with. No surprise there.

OK Rick - next we need to ask Frank if he would be willing to run one of those "Bomb" specials when Gellivare returns. IMO, the return of Gellivare should be a national holiday but I would settle for something like buy 2 rolls and get 1 free along with free shipping.

Did anyone read the WSJ editorial from the guy at Nestle who wants to charge for water?

Not bottled water, but any water use. Agricultural, wells, irrigation, anything that consumes fresh water. It's NUTS!

                P.S.
I have a freezer full of Gellivare and Landstoms.

Yes, please pass this along to Gellivare - we dont care if it comes wrapped in old newspaper as long as it is available.

Because while most states have very similar statutes regarding delivery sales of tobacco products, they're all a little different. Bottom line is yeah it sucks ass, but eventually there will be not "grey" areas for online sellers to skirt, because states are quickly realizing the potential revenue that can be collected. The Northerner hates having to collect the taxes, but because it's now a law, we do it to protect our online customers. Also, by collecting the taxes, we aren't undercutting your local snus retailer...who buys from us ;-) They don't like that by the way, lol.

Eventually, I want as many brands as possible to be sold in your local store. That's what I'm working to do, and we're making some serious headway, and it's only going to grow faster and faster as the months go by. I remember what it was like to buy snus online and then wait up to 14 days for Swedish post to arrive, it sucked. This is yet another reason, I'm making it available to everyone at their local shops. I know we're not in everyone's towns yet, but keep the leads coming and keep an eye on : www.snusdistribution.com for updates. I've not updated the threads here on SnusOn lately, mainly due to my personal time constraints, but the distribution site is up to date.

Sort of... It's shows stores here in AZ that are supposed to carry your products but they don't...

LOL..I've called DJ's and they ran out, and haven't re-ordered from the distributor. Maybe you should let them know you'd like to buy from them and they'll stock it. If I'm a retailer and no one is buying the product, I don't carry it. It's as simple as that.
