Snus Alcohol Combinations! What's your combo?

For those that drink, tell us your snus/booze combo.

I like an ice cold General Original Portion with a Jack Daniels and Diet Coke. :twisted:

I'e been "snus matching" extensivley lately, here's my winning combos.

Light Lagers (Sessions, Red Stripe, PBR) - general los
Gin Martini - Goteborgs Rape Portion
Bourbon - Gotlands Yellow Los or portion
IPAs - Granit los
Scotch - Montechristo Los

I like Miller Lite with Grovsnus.

Last night I drank Bell's Two Hearted Ale, which is in the style of an IPA. Had that with a Nick and Johnny Portion. Pure bliss.

General is very good with mexican style lager, espeically if you have a lime in the bottle. Really brings out the citrusy undertones.

However, I CANNOT stress enough.. do NOT try Probe Whiskey with whiskey. it is NOT enjoyable at all. I had some Makers Mark last night, figured I would give it a try?

Long story short, I will try Gotlands next time I am in the bourbon mood :wink:

Excellent call on using General with Mexican Beer.

Corona and or Tecate with General is on my to do list.

Dos Equis is another good call, but I cannot vouch for it with General. Negra Modela, not too sure about it on its own, let alone with snus.. somewhat overpriced. Yet to try Sol.

That has always been my Mexican beer of choice.

I see you're in Texas, also...have you tried Land Shark Lager (Jimmy Buffett's beer)? It's put out by Anheuser-Busch, and not too bad. It's a little on the expensive side, but worth a try.


As far as snus/alcohol, I really like an Onyx portion with just about any port/stout beer.

Yeah, it's not bad at all but the price is more than I would like to pay for a light lager (Can get Guiness for the same price basically ).

Go to Kroger (one of the only places I know of that carry it at the moment) and check out Caguama.. its from Costa Rica if I am not mistaken and tastes like a richer Tecate.. really good stuff. It's just now starting to pick up distribution.. the Kroger in my town doesn't have it but I know the Kroger stores up in Arlington carry it, got a buddy up there who brings several cases down when he visits 8)

That's the one with a turtle on it, right? It's painted on the bottle like Corona?

I have had that, but don't really remember if I liked it or not. Guess I'll have to revisit it!

Well, I'm now enjoying a burbon and water with a Grov portion (I know- it's only 4:49PM on the East coast). Good combination.

Miller Lite and Lucky originals. Yumm.... Lucky's are a part of my usual beer drinking routine, now. Screw stinkin' ass cigs. Cigs do tend to taste pretty good with a beer, but snus and beer is just heavenly. I urge everyone that likes Lucky's and Miller Lite to use them as a joint venture. It's great.
