Airline Travel with Snus

Hello all! I'm a week away from flying from the USA to France for a two week vacation. I was planning on bringing maybe 10 containers of snus with me (yes, the Swedish kind - General) bought here in the states, for personal use, from one of those rare specialty shops that sells it.

Does anyone have any experience going through customs with snus? Personally I think of it as bringing cigarettes with me, but I've read on the web that snus has been "banned" in the EU, with the exception of Sweden.

Am I setting myself up for a body cavity search? Is this a red flag if I say nothing and they find it? Should I declare it? Or just stay cool while my luggage goes through that x-ray machine? I gotta have my snus!

Any comments or insight from anyone would be awesome.

Don't worry nobody is going to get mad at you when going through customs, selling snus is banned in EU not using. If anybody asks something, just say it's tobacco product.

You'll be just fine garrick619. Since I started using snus I have taken 5-10 cans, divided between checked and carry-on luggage, through customs in the following countries: Germany, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan (again), China (twice), France, Malaysia, Singapore, Canada. And of course USA. Not even once has anyone ever asked so much as one question about it. Enjoy! Snus on flights for the win!
