In regards to the delayed gratification issue I can agree that it doesn't automatically hit you like that first drag off a cigarette. However if you liken it to a cup of coffee, in which you relax and enjoy the flavor the nicotine will, after a few minutes hit you. I find my first portion or pris with my morning cup of coffee, or a cup of Earl-Grey tea with some of the bergamot accented snus much more enjoyable than my first cigarette used to be. I'd have to agree with Aika about the deep breathing comment. Do that for a couple of minutes and before you know it you'll feel the nic.
