    Skruf differences.. stark los

I remember a while back on here people said the quality of skruf dropped a while back. I had a couple of the white cans left someone sent me a year or so ago which was really great. I loved it. Due to buysnus' free shipping I added a can to see if its a couple rolls worthy when I make my next bulk order. I just put in a pris and it actually doesn't really taste the same as I remember. It's good but not as good. Is it all in my head or do you guys agree?

I absolutely agree. Something changed, and along with the incredible shrinking tins killed them for me as a company. AFAIC, Skruf doesn't exist.

I'm glad I'm not imagining it. I'm not good at describing flavors and such, that is why I never write reviews. The older Skruf los it seemed the rose oil whatever was more pronounced, it seemed more of a labor of love like gotlands. I can't put it in words. I'm just disappointed in a sense. The old Skruf I tried I would give an A. The one tin I just had I'd give a C+ perhaps. It breaks my heart because I was carrying on about I loved the Skruf los. One positive, I got to at least try it when it was at its best.

For me, Skruf became much more bitter after the original company got bought out. It use to be sitting there in the background, but when the buyout happened, any portion/pris would go to unbearably bitter in the span of five minutes or so. If I had to take a guess, I'd say they upped the level of rose oil they're putting in, or whatever that strange flavouring is that they use.

Regardless though Skruf Stark original portions and Skruf Stark los are my all-time favourite go-to snus. The los bakes like putty. And the original portion has that rose oil. Both have the nicotine poke i look for in a snus.

I use Skruf Sterk White all day every day. I love it. I have no need for other snus any more.

That's the reason I prefer the whites

                    Agreed.

I've been using Skruf Sterk WP daily for about 2 months now, and whenever I dip into my meagre stash of other brands, I always end up craving the Skruf. It simply hits the spot for me, flavour and strength-wise.

I bought myself a can of Skruf Stark Lös and a can of Skruf Stark Portion some weeks ago. I tried the portion like a year ago and did not like it at all, but now I loved it. Tasted much different then I could remember... however, the Skruf Stark Lös tasted nothing. I was pretty disappointed since I've heard great stuff about it, but it really doesn't have much of a flavor at all. Not even salt. I don't know if it's supposed to be like that, but it was nothing like the portions.

I have both of the older Skruf white cans and the newer black cans of Skruf Stark Los and Skruf Extra Stark Los... I had finished a can of the white and opened a black about a month ago and just finished it recently... There is a difference between them Albeit a very slight one in my opinion and at least to me it's still a very good snus... I don't think it changed all that much to warrant not buying it... I still tasted the rose oil and didn't get bitter to me.... There is still plenty of flavor.... Even with the newer black can when it was gone I still wanted to open another and miss the flavor when i don't have it...

I haven't had both the white and black open at the same time to do a proper comparison since I have too many Los open at the moment and don't see a need to... I still think it is a unique snus and still roll worthy... I wouldn't hesitate to buy the newer black cans in the los.... I can't speak for the portions as I never liked the portions to begin with.... I only liked the Los and still do... Skruf Stark/Xtra Stark Los and General Extra Sterk Los are my all time favorite go to Sterk Los and will continue to be...

If you avoid the Stark regular portion because you are not keen on the rose oil you might like the Xtra Stark Slims...

I just got a roll of Skruf Extra Stark portions, and five tins of the new black tin Skruf Extra Stark los, and love it as much as the old Skruf. My main snus.
